(from Google)This park is very good and enjoyable. It has different areas for people of all ages, including playgrounds, walking paths, and places to relax. The park is clean, well-maintained, and a great place to spend time with family and friends.
This is a beautiful, well-maintained park with an expansive, open footprint. The park plays host to a diverse array of events as well, such as the annual Food Fest, Wine Festival and Chesapeake Jubilee, to name a few. It's a safe space for all ages. There are shelters for birthday parties and family reunions, a playground, paved paths to walk, run, or bike, a dog park and even a skate park. Pictured, is the Gold Star Family Memorial Monument, which honors America's fallen service men and women. It's on hallowed ground, mere feet from the September 11th Memorial and at the feet of a huge, glorious American flag. I'm honored to have been among a group of dedicated ⭐️Gold Star Family members, ⚔️ 🔱Veterans, and patriotic citizens who brought this to our region with the Hershel "Woody Williams" Medal of Honor Foundation. We must always remember our fallen and those left behind, our beloved Gold Star Families. Lest we forget. 🇺🇸
Chesapeake City Park was very clean, spacious, and well-kept. It’s a great spot if you’re looking for a peaceful walk without feeling crowded. I was able to get about a mile in comfortably, and the open space made it really enjoyable. I also liked that they had a small area for stretching and exercises, which is perfect if you want to add a little extra to your workout. Overall, it’s a nice, relaxing park to get some fresh air and light activity in.
We love going to Chesapeake city park. It’s a great place to go on a walk or for kids to ride their bikes. There is plenty of space to walk around and play. They have a basketball court and a place for sand volleyball. There are also numerous covered pavilion/picnic areas that can be used for gatherings or to eat lunch or hang out. There is a dog park as well which seems pretty nice. We don’t have dog but I always see many families with dogs there.
Such a fun and different playground for kids! We brought our 2 year old and he had a blast running around the multiple different wooden playgrounds, sandbox, animal statues… It was great that the whole area was gated in and had clean restrooms!
