Founding Farmers DC

We had a very positive experience at Founding Fathers Foggy Bottom! We started with some delicious bourbon based drinks - the old fashioned and a maple bourbon drink - just the right mix of flavor and strength. YUM! The food was absolutely delicious! We started with the kale salad and then moved to the chimichurri skirt steak and chicken in a delicious masa and cheese covering and the Maryland crab cakes. Absolutely delicious. Again, YUM! The service was fantastic - thank you, Tyren! And, in addition, every staff member who passed our table was subtlety aware of needs and stealthily filling such needs. What a top notch experience. The vibe is perfect and adds to the DC experience. We hope to get in one more visit before we leave! I would add photos but we drank and devoured too greedily!!!

One of the best meals I have had in DC area! The ambience is great, we could have conversations it’s not so loud. The service is good as well. We had a burger, pasta and couple of drinks the bill was 100$ but it’s worth the cost. Try the constitution if you like cocktails! There was very little to no wait time even during lunch hour.

I had such a great experience at Founding Farmers! The food was absolutely amazing—from the black garlic pepper wings to the seven mac and cheese, everything was full of flavor. The Uncle Buck beignets were incredible and definitely a highlight. You can really tell they take the farm-to-table concept seriously because everything tasted fresh, even the ketchup! The atmosphere was great too, with really good music that made the whole experience even better. Our waiter, Edgar, was super helpful and friendly - he guided us through the menu and helped us decide what to get, which we really appreciated. Overall, an amazing meal and I’d definitely come back!

What an amazing brunch we had here! Totally delightful Our server Christina (or Christie plz forgive if I messed up your name) was fantastic! She was so polite and kind! We absolutely loved the food and the vibe I would recommend having a reservation as the restaurant was jam packed! We had the chia bowl and the avocado sandwich The were delicious! Would defo go again! 🌸😇

Went to DC for a business trip with my boyfriend, and this restaurant was recommended to him. I got the spinach mushroom and onion pan scramble and it was very good. Their biscuits are the best I’ve had so far. My boyfriend had the buttermilk Maine blueberry pancakes and he liked them a lot. Enrique was our server and he was very social and helpful. Altogether good experience!
