5/5 – A Surprising Hidden Gem in Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 What a beautiful surprise! Parque Forestal La Marquesa is truly a hidden gem — especially for animal lovers. The parrots 🦜 and other birds are so cute and well cared for. The aviary experience is amazing for both kids and adults. This is definitely a must-visit place for all ages. Families will absolutely enjoy it. The ticket prices are very affordable and include the cable car ride and the open tractor 🚜 train, which makes the whole experience even more fun and worth every dollar. The park is very clean, well maintained, and professionally managed. You can clearly see the excellent organization throughout the property. Also, the restaurant inside the park serves very good food at very reasonable prices — a great place to relax and enjoy a meal after exploring. Highly recommended if you’re visiting Puerto Rico! 🌴

Great place. Hard to find info on it. Awesome infrastructure. Gondola, walking trails. Man made waterfall. Many types of birds up close and personal. Not expensive. Butterfly's. Small Playground and a tram/train pulled by tractor to transport. Not far from San Juan.

Forest Park is a beautiful nature preserve close to San Juan and a perfect place to experience Puerto Rico’s natural beauty. The park is filled with lush trees and greenery, making it a peaceful escape from the city. The staff were very helpful and welcoming, which made the visit even better. One of the highlights is the bird experience—there are many colorful birds, and some of them can even talk! It’s a fun and memorable experience, especially for families. A must-do attraction is climbing the viewing deck. It can feel a bit scary at first, but it’s absolutely worth it. From the top, you get an amazing view overlooking San Juan. The trolley ride is another added bonus and makes getting around the park enjoyable and relaxing. Overall, Forest Park offers an additional and unique experience for anyone visiting the San Juan area and is definitely worth a visit.

La Marquesa is a perfect place to spend the day with family. Very kid friendly and educational. The trolly ride was my favorite part. It felt amazing to ride the trolly above the tropical Forrest. Breathtaking views & fun! The attendants were all friendly and professional. Even the birds were friendly and so beautiful! Would definitely recommend going to La Marquesa. It’s a great value for just $13 for adults and $8 for kids.

If you’re considering coming here, it’s important to note that many of the negative reviews on this listing are from people who came without realizing it was closed after Hurricane Maria. I went recently and had such a beautiful experience! Finally reopened, the cable car ride is super fun and all the birds and butterflies are gorgeous. The keepers are super nice and clearly have a lot of love and care for the animals, they are largely birds that would’ve otherwise been left to die in a non native environment by owners who no longer wanted them, so it’s wonderful to see this park give them the best lives it can. You can see bird families and couples flying around together and cuddling, it’s very sweet! Very underrated and enriching wildlife experience for tourists and locals alike.
