(from Google)I LOVE THE PET BARRACKS! I am a member of the military and have adopted a Boxer mix, Roxy, from a shelter who was a risk recently. Well, I have been deployed out many times, and I always fall back on The Pet Barracks. They are always so responsive and supportive of your dog’s needs and situation. Roxy is very anxious because she was at the shelter for such a long time and has been bouncing around due to my job. they completely understand this and are so careful with her. Even when I text to get an update on Roxy because I feel anxious about how she is feeling, they respond right away with very detailed updates and pictures. The staff is always so friendly and takes great care of your pets. 1000% percent recommend to anyone in El Paso.
Very patient and understanding people. I have a Bulldog who gets very nervous (and sometimes snarly). The staff are very understanding of his fear and reluctance with others. Social evaluation was a success due to the staff and management's patience and diligence. I board two dogs and my cat here. The cat area is spacious and cats are free to roam and socialize. They take a detailed inventory of all items you provide with your fur-babies. I would recommend them for any and all services (daycare, boarding, etc.).
The Pet Barracks took such good care of our fur baby Duke! After Duke passed his social eval and met the friendly staff we immediately did daycare and boarding. The staff was great at communication when it came to pick-up and drop-off, which made it easy and quick! After picking up Duke he was nothing but happy and enriched, he was always excited to get dropped off! You can tell the staff really does put in the care. We also got their Valentine's box of treats, which didn’t last long. We will definitely be coming back!
This is probably one of the best dog boarding places I've ever seen. They will call you for even the smallest things, like putting sunscreen on your pooch's snoot because they see it's getting red. They do a good job at make sure the dogs are safe, happy, and healthy. Weekly report cards with pictures will put your mind at ease. They even will take care of your dog if you have to deploy. Knowing that's even an option is incredible. I wish there was a Pet Barracks near every installation and had the same level of care, cleanliness, and customer service. 👏👏
I cannot say enough good things about this place! I am a veterinarian, but this is my private endorsement and just based off my one personal dog's experiences there. My puppy (now a year and a half old) started going there for daycare when he was about 6 months old so that he could be well-socialized with other dogs and to help exercise/stimulate him; he's a VERY busy boy who needs lots of exercise daily. He is always SO excited to head into the back when I drop him off, and he comes home from daycare every time happy and clean, and then sleeps for the rest of the day so I know he's getting plenty of activity while he's there! Bringing him here definitely helped socialize him; he gets along with any dog we meet. We boarded him here once when we went out of the country for 10 days and they took great care of him, and sent us pictures and updates twice. We recently started having Astrid train him. He is stubborn and independent so very hard to train but Astrid has been great with him; so patient and understanding, great communication with us about his progress, and she uses Fear Free training methods which is really important to me (and what is currently recommended by veterinary behaviorists). The staff are all friendly and recognize him by name now. They are diligent about requiring the necessary vaccines. Overall, I'm very happy we found this place for our baby Ollie; they have enriched his life in so many ways!
