I rarely share feedback or experiences on public posts; however, our family's experience with Andrew from Good Dogz deserves recognition. First, our family had just added a female belgian malinois 6 mo puppy Portia to our pet world (currently have a mini goldendoodle Penny age 2). I've previously owned a malinois and fully prepared of what to expect, my wife and son, not so much. Enter Andrew. The first thing I truly appreciated about working with Andrew is his willingness to meet with clients in home environment. It allowed our pets to be in their normal routine and provide Andrew with insight into the pets and the pet parents. Next, Andrew as a teacher is very knowledgeable and provided us with very practical tools and strategies based upon the character of the breed and personality of Portia. We had a goal of implementing consistency to achieve basic obedience. He told us what he wanted to work on, showed is, and involved us. These simple steps unlocked the desire for our family to embrace Andrew's individualized pet goals for Portia. Andrew is very flexible, providing "homework" to practice, practice, practice until the next training sessions are scheduled. We are proud to say Penny and Portia are proudly coexisting Peacefully. Portia is excited to train. We've turned training into fun learning and all is well. Portia has adopted my wife as her personal trainer/pet parents. I often come home from work and discovered the two have learned new tricks! Penny, ups the competition by wanting to do all the same training. Finally, if you are looking for a trainer that is knowledgeable, flexible, and builds confidence in pet and pet parent, he is your guy. You will be glad you made the decision!

As someone who was VERY hesitant and particular about training, I am so glad I chose to send Benny to Good Dogz KC! He learned so much and I received frequent updates outside of our weekly visits. My biggest concern with training was Benny losing his giant silly personality but he came back still his silly goofy self but with manners. Many family and friends have commented on how huge of a difference they can see and how great and well behaved he is now. Seriously cannot recommend them enough!!

We could not be more grateful for Andrew and Jahaira! We were struggling to manage our almost 3-year-old pitty mix Tala, and after a 3 week board and train we have seen a HUGE difference and finally feel like we have the tools to manage her and give her more freedom. Her reactivity has gone down and her confidence has definitely gone up, and so has ours. Aside from the training, Andrew has been so patient with us and does such a good job educating and answering all of our questions so we can understand Tala and fulfill her needs. Highly recommend Good Dogz KC if you’re looking for dog training in KC! 😊

I can’t recommend Good Dogz KC enough. I was seriously struggling and feeling like there was nothing to fix storms reactivity. Storm went from being insanely reactive losing her mind over everyone, every dog pulling me all over the place barking and in defense mode ready to go after anyone we would come across. Called andrew at Good Dogz KC in August, we are now only 3 sessions in and I feel like I have a brand new dog, we can peacefully go on walks everyday, close encounters with neighbors in our apartment, dogs, bicycles with no problem. She has completely transformed I finally feel like I can breath and I’m not struggling or scared to be around distractions anymore!

There are not enough stars to give Jahaira and Andrew for how much they have taught my recently adopted pup Gabby and myself as well. Just on the introduction call, I learned some skills that already helped my dog when it came to meeting others. Gabby had some aggression issues and was not leash trained when I adopted her. It didn't take long to get her be responsive to me while on a leash, and her aggression is gone thanks to learning the proper way to train her. Jahaira and Andrew taught me how to problem solve with Gabby so when our lessons are complete, if any new issues come up, I will have learned the tools to adjust. We still have 3 more sessions to go and I am so excited to continue to learn how to work with my dog, and continue to grow this bond we have developed. Our house is much happier and calmer since we started working with Jahaira and I would happily recommend anyone who wants to improve their relationship with their dogs as well. There's no dog too old or young that wouldn't benifit from the guidance Jahaira and Andrew give. Ask my friends who took my recommendation. They're happy too! Seriously what you waiting for?
