Pet Urgent Care

For 20+ years I have been able to depend on this clinic for any of my dogs' urgent care. I have never been disappointed. I appreciate that they follow the traditional triage process of prioritizing animals on the severity of their conditions. I've had extended wait times here, and I'm okay with that if it means another owner's pet survives when their situation was more emergent than mine. The Veterinarians and staff are very competent and compassionate. Based on my experience with this clinic, they understand your pet is a part of your family and want to do all they can to keep them stable and comfortable enough for continued care through your primary vet, or provide them with treatment that they are confident will resolve the problem.

I absolutely loved the doctor and staff here. My little piglet cut her arms up pretty good and the vet near me was closed. I called these guys and asked if they could see her. They said they normally don’t treat pigs but since she was still so small they would make an exception. I drove an hour to get here and they all doted on my little piggy and bandaged her up nicely. 10/10 recommend to everyone.

the care was really good and my cat is ok, but the doctor really really needs to learn bedside manner. before even looking at my baby, she told me it was fatal and i was going to have to go up north to a 24 hour emergency, and that it was incredibly serious. i immediately started hysterically crying as she took my cat into a room, without a word. about 15 minutes later, however, the vet came in and told me that she was going to be okay, that it wasn’t as bad as the doctor thought, and apologized for how the doctor spoke to me. obviously i’m glad my cat is okay, but that 15 minutes of thinking i was about to lose my baby was absolutely horrible. not only was the doctor late, but she was unnecessarily unkind. although i’m upset about this, my gratitude to the kind vet and gratitude that my cat is okay outweighs my anger. i just issue this as a warning—be prepared for not so great bedside manner from the doctor. the vets, however, especially the one with green hair, are incredible. this is frances nice and healthy again. :)

The entire staff was great. My dog fought something nasty for months. They listened to all her symptoms, never discounting my thoughts or feelings. They were busy, but the wait was worth it. Ultimately my sweet girl couldn't be saved, but not for lack of effort or communication on their part. I experienced one of the hardest moments of my life with some of the best animal care givers around. Thank you for taking the best care possible of my baby.

I’ve waited months to say anything, in hopes of my opinion changing, but it never has. Back on May 20th, my dog started having really back seizures. Finally it got to the point where we had to rush my dog to the only place that was open. Unfortunately, this was the only place open at the time. I loaded my dog up and drove from Spanish Fork to Orem in hopes they could help my dog. I rushed inside and explained the situation to the receptionist, and I was immediately told I had to wait, due to the family that had walked in before us, bringing their dog inside for some sort of check up. It wasn’t until I brought my dog inside, that I could see the panic on the receptionist face. Immediately I was told to put my dog on the scale, and he was immediately rushed into the back. After hours and hours of waiting, we were awarded with a bill of thousands of dollars, explaining that they were going to keep him overnight and keep him sedated, in hopes to keep the seizures down and save my baby. My grandfather and I arrived the next morning at 5:30 AM, the second we were told to come pick him up. It took over 20 minutes to get ahold of anyone to even come to the locked front door. We picked my dog up and placed him in the black of our vehicle. He was medicated and did not move one bit. With blood shot eyes and no emotion. It was apparent that he hadn’t slept at all. Not that this was the urgent cares fault, but just heart breaking to see. Of course, we were met with another bill. I can’t remember how much this next bill was, but I’m sure it was thousands more, once again. We were given a false hope and narrative that maybe just maybe our baby would be okay. Oh but thanks for paperwork of his bloodwork I guess? We took my dog home and for the next couple hours, all I could do was sit there, watching him stare emotionlessly at the walls. Unable to lay down or even close his eyes. We had to wait until 9:30 AM for our local vet to open the next morning. We were there an hour early, and walked in the second the vet arrived (late of course). We walked inside and immediately some blood work was done on my dog. Immediately we were met with the harsh reality that our dog was going to have to be put down. Why couldn’t we receive this same information from this place? Why couldn’t they do what needed to be done thousands of dollars and hours or suffering ago? Because they don’t care. They don’t have your animal, baby, your whole world’s best interest. They want to squeeze every dollar they can out of you. I know this from experience because they did the same thing with our cat years before this experience. Next time I will put a gun to my own dogs head before I have to make them suffer the way this business did. I will never forgive them for what they did to my family and worse, my baby.
