I launched my kayak here with some friends. There was plenty of parking and it’s a short walk to the launch site. Launch itself isn’t great but I managed. When the water level was low, I hit some shallow spots but didn’t get stuck. Kayak to the right - swampy but really cool and shaded. Kayak to the left - takes you to residential areas and then goes towards the James river but no shade. I took a lunch break at Billsburg. Saw many birds, turtles, little crabs and fish.

Very small park. Short trail along the water with several fishing platforms. Platforms were all in good shape. There is a paved trail down to the first one so accessible for many people. Trail does have an incline. Good spot for fishing. There are a couple picnic tables at the parking lot and a port-a-potty.

Nice little park. Part of the Captain John Smith Trail. Can fish, picnic, or just enjoy the view.

Mainly a place to launch boats and kayaks. You can fish here, but we didn't catch anything no bites or anything. It's quiet off Jamestown Road but not a lot here.

This is a nice and relatively scenic place to paddle. IMO: Good for beginners who don't have much experience in moving water, but who are comfortable with the idea of paddling in a small current. Also good for anyone who wants a mellow paddle through a little patch of nature. The trees in the area provide plenty of shade in the summer. I recommend it. The only negitive is that the porta-john... Well, it's a porta-john. No plumbed facilities here.
