(from Google)Calming and beautiful, setting of southern style architecture along Hillsboro riverfront in northwest Tampa, Florida area. Picture time December 2024 .
Beautiful riverfront park facing both west and east along the Hillsborough River. To the west of the park is a marina dating back to 1845. This is known as the Riverbend area of Old Seminole Heights. It takes its name from the Hillsborough River winding to the west and north of the neighborhood. A truly beautiful park untouched by urban sprawl since its inception in honor of fallen police officer, Norris Epps Jr.
Cute wind-down type of park on the edges of Hillsborough river. Could use some sprucing up, new benches, and some TLC to bring it up to speed and looks.
Nice neighborhood park to walk your dog or to sit and enjoy the water. This is a public park but it feels private. There is no parking which makes accessing the picnic tables a bit of a challenge. There is a dirt road/driveway to the residence's that face the park & river but no main access road. This park is definitely for the people if this community. If you are a park person or looking for a new park for your family Epps Park is not it. I did not see a play ground or trail or covered picnic area. I would not go back.
My childhood park, my old age park. Put your kayak in, aggravate the muscovy ducks, appreciate the whistling black bellied ducks and other river life- you can see the fish jumping! Watch out for the gator.
