The Shacks Dining & Dog Park

This place is lovely. There is a big dog side and a little dog side, above the well shaded dog park are several restaurants and a craft brew house. There is a bucket that can lower down your beer order, so that you can stay with your furry friends. Most people who being their dogs are down there with them, taking advantage of the ample space and seating areas. My dogs and my kiddo love this place.

This dog park was really lovely. The patrons all seemed to be friendly and it was nice being in a community space. We ate at the burger joint there, which was so-so in terms of the food and not great in terms of the service. The coffee shop/bar, however was great. I can't speak for the booze, but the coffee was great, as was the service. It would be great if there was more seating, especially seating where you could not only have your dogs but that was a little more shielded from the weather.

I am so surprised that this place isn't packed!! It is such an energetic, lively place! So many good restaurants to choose from! This dog park is amazing! Your pet will absolutely love the options that are available!! Great happy hour, food and entertainment for your pups, games and live music or fantastic DJ's taking ya through some of your great jams!! Love it!!

The shacks is an absolute gem in the Plano/ The Colony area. Each of the restaurants is fantastic and the amount of patio space (out front and back) blows my mind. The way the dog park is set up allows you to enjoy food/drink and watch your dog at the same time. The dog park is perfectly placed under large trees which allows for plenty of shade in the summer. There is plenty of seating in the park and a place for your dog to drink water. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

What can I say, this place is amazing. T has everything both human and dog want while out, having fun, hanging out, enjoying outdoors, pet time, exercise, FOOD! 2 parks....one for small and large.... determined by the weight 30 and smaller or 30 and larger. Restaurants were diverse which was fun. Almost all outdoor seating. Clean. Great music. Over looking the dog park. Parking just a bit confusing but looked like there was enough and easy to find a spot.
