I ordered to go from this place and when I got back to the hotel I had no napkins or silverware. Who doesn’t at least put napkins in a to go bag especially when they force a tip at check out. No bread came with the meal which was a soupy Alfredo that would have been perfect for bread. The salad (picture attached) at nice pieces of fresh spinach leaf on top but as soon as you moved them you had brown wilted romaine - and I came in right before closing so you would think I would get something fresh if they were rotating properly. Disappointing based on some of the other reviews.

We went here a 2nd time. This time we ate in. I had chicken marsala portobello and my husband had Pebble Beach shrimp scampi. Both dishes were very good. We started with artichoke bisque. The soup was delicious. Thick and creamy with good artichoke flavor. I think it had in a tomato base. The chicken was a marsala cream sauce. It was grilled and pounded thin. The scampi was lemony and had lots of shrimp. We had pizza the first time. We got a Chicken Primavera pizza to go, and it was very good. It had lots of chicken and zucchini on it. The sun dried tomatoes added nice pops of flavor.

Just had dinner with my daughter after not being here for 2-3 years! The food was really good and fresh with a side of great service! I will definitely be coming back :)

The most disgusting chicken parm I have ever tried in my life! I’ve ordered food from here before and been satisfied, it was never amazing but it was decent. This last time, I did not have time to cook dinner after work so I swung by on my way home to pick up a meal to go. It was so terrible that neither my husband or myself could eat it and we threw the entire plate away. I called to let the manager know, and was told I could bring in the food for a refund or replacement. I informed him that unfortunately I live over 20 minutes away and was not able to return with my plate of food. They refused to refund me or even credit me for a future dinner unless I brought back the food to show them it hadn’t been eaten. I can understand that policy for a large catered meal or even a whole family dinner but for one plate? The manager also refused to tell me who the owner was, which is really weird to me. Any respectable restaurant owner would be proud to have their name associated. They have not updated their website to show that Gino’s is no longer owned by the Bozzo family. They lost myself and my entire family as customers over their ridiculous policy and a $30 meal. Their 4.4 star rating comes from the previous owners. This place has gone downhill. You’d get better Italian at Olive Garden.

Genoa Italian Restaurant offers an amazing experience right from the start. The ambient vibe strikes a perfect balance: wonderfully quiet and intimate, yet full of vibrant, great vibes that set the stage for an incredible meal. The food is consistently amazing. The Clam Chowder is a rich, flavorful standout, and the Minestrone soup is also delicious. For a guaranteed fantastic meal, you simply can't go wrong with any of their pizza or pasta dishes. Having been here three times now, the consistent quality confirms this is a genuinely great restaurant. What truly elevates the experience is the amazing staff, especially our incredible waitress, Maria. Her service is genuinely five-star and beyond compare—she never misses a beat. Maria's intuitive knowledge and professionalism mean she knows precisely when to check in and when to grant privacy, making the entire evening effortless. This is quite genuinely an amazing experience. We are thrilled to have this gem in Salinas. Thank you, as always, The Couple in the Corner
