My experience this time was disappointing. I took my 8-month-old Maltese mix , and this was the second time I brought him to this grooming salon. The first time I really liked the service, which is why I decided to come back. After only a few minutes, they called me to say that they could not cut his hair because he would not cooperate. I was very surprised, since my dog has already been to other grooming salons, and this would be the fourth time he has had his hair cut at a professional grooming place. This has never happened to me before, where they were unable to complete the service. The price for a bath and haircut is $65; however, I was charged $50 only for the bath and nail trimming, and the nails were cut but not filed. I really regret this situation because the girl who assisted me was very kind. I do not speak English, and she kindly used a translator to communicate with me, which I truly appreciated. Unfortunately, after this experience, I will not be returning, and I do not recommend this place for puppies or dogs that require more patience.

I love the care that they provide to the fish. I love that’s one of the few places I can go and get salt, water fish, and I love the knowledge of the staff has so helpful one of the best.

Petco is a wonderful place to get your dogs groomed. I was greeted with a smile upon arrival and not ignored. Not only did Mya and Bee take the time to go over things with me regarding the care of my 2 dogs, but they also didn't rush me and did not treat me poorly like another national pet store in town did. Your kindness and professionalism are appreciated more than you know! See you again soon!

I had a really great experience here the other day. I came in to pick up Hill’s Science Diet dry food for my older male cat — in my opinion, it’s the best quality food you can buy — and the cashier reminded me it was buy-one-get-one-50% off. I ended up getting two big bags for a really solid price, which I appreciated. They also were kind enough to let me take home some pest snails for my tank (I have/breed assassin snails that are picky and won’t touch high-protein pellets), so that was an unexpected bonus. Thank you to the Petco team — you definitely earned my business.

It’s unfortunate we can’t give 0 stars. What a terrible experience. Despite explicitly telling them not to cut too short, they shaved my dog practically down to the skin — in winter, no less! When asked about it their reply was it will grow back and we will add it to notes for next time. SERIOUSLY, next time? We told them we are disappointed and they have made it super weird. And she cooly reply oh sorry I will hold him here until you pay and come back. On close inspection at home we noticed some areas were cut so close to the skin that you can literally see bare patches — it’s uncomfortable and unsafe for a dog in cold weather. You’d think professional groomers would have the basic sense or experience to make a judgment call or at least double-check before doing something irreversible. It’s unbelievable how badly they botched this. Pet parents, beware — avoid PETCO grooming at all costs. If you can’t get an appointment with PetSmart, you’ll honestly do a better job grooming at home yourself. Honestly, I want to put the groomer’s name here, but a basic sense of decency is holding me back — clearly something they lacked when handling my dog.
