(from Google)Nice little neighborhood park for families. The playground has areas for toddlers and older kids, plus an outdoor fitness setup that’s in great shape. My son loved the swings, and we spotted squirrels and birds while walking the trail. The paved paths are stroller-friendly and connect to the canal, which is good for biking. Restrooms were open and fairly clean, and there are a few picnic tables and pavilions for gatherings. Only downsides: some trash floating near the pond and not all dog owners clean up after their pets. Still, a solid family spot.
Small parking area. Small playground for young children. There's a sidewalk around the playground. Restrooms available. A few picnic tables. The trail is a paved straight walkway east and west. Going West is about half mile. There's one pier overlooking water/swamp area. Quite a bit of trash floating that needs to be cleaned up. Couple homeless ppl lingering around. A handful of teenage boys hanging out, mostly behaving. There was joggers, dogwalkers, bicyclist, scooters, fishermen using the paved walkway.
Cute park with great walking trails. My kids love the playground and I was happy to find picnic tables, pavilions, and restrooms all readily available. I do wish the playground had a fence the whole way around it, but there is a partial fence between the playground and the parking lot, which is better than nothing.
This park was great! It is kind of hidden asking a main road. The playground is big enough to spend hours playing with the kids and having fun and there are also several different places you can walk on the trails. The playground has 4 separate areas, one for smaller kids, 2 for bigger kids (one part with slides and the other different climbing) and then there is a whole area geared towards adult fitness. There are also 2 swing areas, one with 2 swings and the other with 4 toddler swings. There is a trail that circles around the playground areas. There is also a shorter trail just past the corner of the playground that leads to more paths and a really cool large pond area. There are also paths alongside the canal. If you go towards the canal there is a path that goes miles down in either direction and even one that leads to the Twins Stadium. We were there during the day and the restrooms were open and the water fountain was working to refill our bottles. It was very clean at the playground. There are 4 different pavilions for a birthday party or picnic and many adult seating areas. We did see several people with their dogs off leash, none of the dogs bothered us and they were all well behaved, but I did notice a trend that no one picked up their dogs poop! There was a yoga class in a large open field area. The parking lot is large and has many parking places. Just overall a very lovely park!!!! We'll be back again!
Took a walk out there one October morning. Temperature was perfect around 75 degrees F. This spot is popular with the locals for biking / walking along the canal. My 2-year old boy had a blast on the slides and swings. Got to see bunnies, ton of squirrel and early morning grub hunt by the birds. The dirt walking path along the pond does not give you a good view of the pond. I was hoping to catch big birds, gator or big fish jumping. Outdoor gym setup looks brand new and in very good conditions. In fact, children's play area looks in great shape. All new and well maintained, with full thick layer of soft mulch.
