Fairview Wetlands Scenic Trail

DONT LISTEN TO EMBER BERANEK! This is hands down the best place in the state for goose poop watching. Perfect wedding venue, just make sure guests wear brown shoes.

Really nice walking trail, not too rugged. with lots of nature to look at, we saw ducks, geese and a beaver. it was a very nice walk. my only complaint is there is no parking! there are several office buildings but they all say no parking and the street says no parking I guess they expect us to fly in like the ducks 😏🦆🦆 since it was the day after Thanksgiving most of the office buildings were closed so we took our chances and parked there hoping to not get towed but they really should make somewhere for people to park and access that trail better.

What a nice trail to take the dogs on! It is in an industrial business area, but if you go after 5pm when most everyone has left for the day, it is easy enough to park across the street and walk over to where the path starts. The path has been taken care of with wood chips, so walking the dogs was easy. There is a small trash can with a sign to pick up after the dogs a ways down the path where the path branches off, but when we were there today it was overflowing and there were no more bags (thankfully I always have them on me). There was a family of two adult geese and six goslings on an embankment near the short wooden walkway where the path forks. We were serenaded by many birds while on our peaceful walk. If you are into seeing mushrooms, there were lots of them! It is an easy trail and was a nice walk.

Nothing too special. The wetlands are pretty, and the trail is a nice little escape for being located in/by an industrial area. It's good for a little walk, the trail is well maintained and the signs give some nice information about the history and benefits, but I don't think most people would want to spend much more than an hour or two here. We saw lots of frogs and birds but no other wildlife.

I love this place! Lots of Mallards year round and Canadian geese in the late winter. In the spring and summer there are lots of bugs who love it here. This place is awesome for wildlife and I have even seen a family of deer! Often also seen red winged blackbirds, cooper's hawks, black capped chickadees, and yellow finches.
