Rikenjaks

We came to grab a bite and listen to some music. My mother invited me. We enjoyed it so much. The weather was perfect. Will definitely visit again.

This was my first time visiting Rikenjack's Brewing Company and I enjoyed the vibe they had going on. They had karaoke and they had fun with it. My friend & I sat at the bar and had an alcoholic beverage before ordering boiled crawfish. The crawfish were mostly really small and cost $11.99 per pound. Not the best crawfish I have ever eaten but they were pretty good. The service was great and staff was friendly.

We spent almost 50 dollars on "chicken strips", burger, and fries for the both of us, along with some beer cheese. The Buffalo Chicken Waffle Fries (the whole dish - fries and chicken) were in the fryer waaaaay to long and were quite nearly burned to a crisp. We also removed a hair from inside of the beer cheese. Needless to say, into the trash it went and we will not be returning. This place used to be awesome, but like almost all things Lake Charles, it obviously has gone down the drain.... ah well. I have included the advertised picture from the menu vs. what we got (minus the hair in the cheesse).

We were recommended this place by a local and we loved it! We sat outside listening to somebody perform acoustics while drinking their many options on the bar menu amd waiting for our food. Very fun atmosphere. The fried green tomatoes were better than my momma's!

Sunday brunch!! The food was excellent hot and fresh. The chicken and waffles were a little over priced for just getting two tenders in my opinion. Great atmosphere with the live band outside every Sunday for brunch. The service was okay had to go get the waitress when we were ready to order and she didn’t come around very often.
