(from Google)This beach has it all; trees, a playground, picnic tables, grills, vendors selling floaties and fruit, calm water, boats cruising by, a lifeguard, security, restrooms, sinks, and a rinse off station. You know what it doesn’t have? Enough parking lol. We had a great time, but got the stink eye from entitled residents when we had no choice but to park on the nearby, public streets.
Nice place to bring family. 😊. $0.50/ 15 min parking!
Before this beach was one the most clean around here now people bring their dogs to the beach, many trash on the beach ., people drinking and living their kids alone in the water .
I started going here when I was a kiddo. So many moons ago. Stopped going about 15 yrs ago because the hubby liked a different beach but came here for Mother's Day and have spent every sunny weekend there since. Not sure what the life guard says to people after running down the beach to talk to them but it's good to know they are watching. Not sure from where, but they are there. Hubby says it's pretty good sand for building sand stuff. I thought there was a place you could rent kayaks from but it appears to be gone... So my son bought one and he loves taking it there because his pregnant wife can go with him and not deal with the waves at major beach. So that's awesome. It gets just as crowded as any other public place where you can picnic and play in the water so no complaints. Have fun in the sun or relax on the grass area. Truly a great place to spend a wonderful sunny day.
Love mother's beach. Since I found out about this lovely but very family friendly spot hidden to the eye of normal beach just beneath the bridge of the Marine Park you can find Mother's Beach. I now enjoy that I can share that excitement I still get with my 2 year old son.
