My dog Cosmo went in on Sunday due to a post operative infection that had begun to ooze pus and blood from a surgery done at a different clinic. Since his infection was becoming worse by the hour, I did not feel comfortable waiting until the following day to be seen by the surgeon who originally performed his operation. We had a long wait because although his infection was becoming severe, he was stable, while many other animals who were brought in that night were unfortunately not. We were both kept comfortable throughout the wait and both Dra. Keishla Marrero and the nurses/ staff were attentive as we waited to be seen. As we waited, we watched as all the staff worked tirelessly to stabilize critical patients that had come in that night. All the staff had almost no rest that night. Despite the exhaustion they must have been experiencing, they treated all the animals with respect and kindness, keeping in mind their comfort and the pain that many were in. They were extremely punctual in their check ins with each animal making sure there were no sudden changes in their vitals around the clock. These critical patients were honestly treated with more care than what we see often see in human hospitals, and the doctor remained super involved with each animal and her team throughout. The team itself was very communicative, efficient and cohesive as they worked together. If Cosmo were ever in a critical situation, this is 100% the place I would go. This is a clinic that would go above and beyond for your pet, and truly treat them as the family members that they are. Despite the wait, I am also very happy with the care my dog ultimately received and I can already see major improvement less than 48 hours later. Dra. Marrero was very thorough in considering all possibilities that may have caused his infection, including ruling out possible hernia, reaction to stitches and intra abdominal abscess. I don’t normally write reviews but you guys are truly superheroes, and your efforts did not go unnoticed.

I brought my 5-year-old German Shepherd to Emervet late last night due to concerns about a worsening UTI. I expected a quick visit for a stronger antibiotic, but thankfully the team discovered a much more serious issue. The front desk staff was very helpful, and I was placed in an exam room within minutes. Technician Yalimar was thorough and thoughtful in her initial assessment before sending Nala for testing. Dr. Miguel Fernández took a very methodical, step-by-step approach, ruling out possibilities before arriving at a diagnosis. Afterward, both he and Tech Lorenzo clearly explained the situation and walked me through the next steps, making sure Nala received the best possible care. I’m truly grateful for the team’s attention to detail, professionalism, and compassion. I highly recommend Emervet to anyone facing an emergency with their pet. Thank you all.

I cannot recommend this place enough. I brought my dog in after hours and thought I was going to have to wait, but they saw him right away. They were so very kind to him even treating him on the floor since he was a little nervous on the table. They took great care of him and he’s doing very well now.
