Came here after going to snug harbor botanical garden. Didn’t hit my 10k steps here but finished it off here. Lots of people fishing here also. Cool pier. Was also at the park near by but I was there already. Wanted to come here and finally made it!!!

Great for walking people and dogs, several playgrounds, many benches, nice pier area for fishing. Restrooms available but not open all year. One restaurant and ice cream spot too.

I visited for the 1st time on labor day because I wanted to explore a new area on the last day of summer. I enjoyed my time here for the following reasons. 1st there's no fee to enter, park or to have access to the beach. There are actual restrooms, play area for kids. There's a restaurant on the boardwalk which is the only one I saw,and another spot to grab, fries burgers ice cream etc. You'll have a great view of the verrazano bridge and the lower ny bay. Dog friendly and you're allowed to ride your bike. However few of the boards need maintenance. Only downside if you don't live on the island and you're driving in There's the toll you must pay. If you try getting here by ferry is not convenient at all driving is the best option. It was a great choice to visit and spend my last the of summer. Overall I had a pleasant experience definitely recommended, you don't see any crazy crowds at least not while I was there.

I've been coming to this beach for a few years now and really love how quiet, clean, and big it is. It's very well maintained and not crowded at all. Free entry, which is always nice, and lots of nice local restaurants

Nice place to go for fishing and to just hang out and enjoy the Sun the ocean and the beach.⛱️☀️👍 My first time here was an experience. I started taking photos and enjoy the view. There was a few insects flying around and there was one person flying a kite. There's also a guard keeping an eye on everybody on the boardwalk and helps people fish too. They have restrooms just in case if you want to go and I haven't been to them yet. I don't really know if you can have dogs at this place, but find out for yourself. I recommend you go to this place if you want to fish or enjoy the view.😊🙂🏖️
