(from Google)Beautiful, wide, white sandy beach with lots of small shells for beach combers. Very popular location, with walkable shops and restaurants. If you don't like crowds, find a less popular beach. Parking is sparse unless you are staying at a Clearwater venue. There is a parking garage, but it's pricey. We paid $16+ for 3 hours in January 2026. Pier 60 is nice for views. You can only walk halfway down the pier unless you want to pay for full access in the gift shop. Rentable fishing poles are available in addition to typical souvenirs and snacks.
Beautiful and clean stretch of beach. We visited on a weekday around noon and my 🐾baby girl🐾 was the only dog on the beach. There were plenty of adults sunning and strolling but it was pleasantly quiet and peaceful which was fabulous for my girl's first experience with sand and saltwater! The not so great = parking. The closest to beach access for this dog-friendly section is a couple blocks south which can make for a long & hot-on-the-paws walk to the water.
The north end gets you away from the traffic and noise of the main beach, so if you want something laid back this is your beach! Beautiful sugar sand beach that’s postcard perfect, and you can bring your dog and walk the sand. I go here for sunsets and it never disappoints. The boardwalk a little further north is pretty cool and that’s where I took the video. Enjoy!
Parking was a fiasco to find. A few blocks from the entrance to this beach. Although it was quite a walk, we enjoyed the seclusion of being further down away from the madness. Waiting an hour to get over the bridge was not fun but worth it in the end. Loved the sand bar and the space between. May return during the week whne not so crazy.
Looking for a beautiful sunset with your pup? This is the place! Park right at the edge of town and walk right up. Between the White Powder Sand and Crystal Clear Water it's picture perfect! We went on a weeknight and it cost $4.30 per hour to park. The beach was not crowded and plenty of parking to go around.
