(from Google)Ian is simply the best! We have a back of the pack - quite timid - young Dalmatian. She was very fearful of other dogs and lacked social confidence in general. Ian made a house visit and explained how her role and disposition affect her behavior and gave some wonderful, insightful guidance in how to relate to her and guide her through things that make her feel unsure. She is now a regular at his group dog training sessions and is gaining confidence weekly - so much more comfortable around other dogs and new experiences. And a big bonus is Ian also does nail trims and grooming - and dogs even seem to like it when he does their nails and gives them a bath! Five stars - call Ian - you will be so glad you did, and so will your dog!
We’ve had such a positive experience with Ian at Red Dog Canine Services! Ian has been incredibly helpful and professional throughout the process. We came in needing support with leash walking, as well as our sassy dog’s barking and nervous behavior around visitors (9 month old beagle/ husky). Even though we know training is a journey and we still have a bit to go, we’ve already seen great improvement after just a couple of sessions. What we appreciate most is the focus on building a stronger relationship with our pup —not just teaching commands, but helping us better understand how to support our boy so he feels more confident and secure. Our pup is happier, and we’re feeling much more equipped as owners. The highlight of Ozzy’s week, by far is Ian’s daycare service where Ozzy gets to enjoy walks, have loads of play time with other dogs and receive training all in one day. Brilliant, everybody happy! We highly recommend Red Dog Canine Services to anyone looking for thoughtful, effective, and compassionate training support!
This young man is a life saver that provides a very specific service. I am staying at the La Quinta, on Mopac, dogs in tow. My sister couldn’t dog sit, I was in a pickle. I called Red Dog. Ian taxis to and fro - 10 mins later my dogs were hiking on the Barton Greenbelt, instead of sitting in a steel cage. 4 hours! Legit fee. They are wiped out, and I am a hero. Best dog walker ever!!
We own three dogs and cannot say enough about the training and care we have received from Red Dog Canine Services. Ian has been amazing with our fearful and reactive lab/poodle mix, as well as our extremely active and bossy collie/cattle dog mix. We had worked with several trainers before Ian; however, their approaches were not effective or helpful. We honestly thought about giving one of the dogs up as nothing we tried seemed to work. We are so happy that we gave Ian a try. His training has made a huge difference in our lives and the lives of our pups! We now feel confident on walks and taking them in public and they are much calmer and relaxed. Ian has taught us so much about dog behavior and communication. We now know WHY our dogs react the way they do and HOW to effectively respond. We can't thank Ian enough and highly recommend his services to any dog owner. Our friend uses Red Dog Canine Services for Daycare Adventures and loves it! We hope to try that in the near future.
Our pup, Buddy, has known Ian since early 2025, and they have developed a strong bond with each other. Ian is unique among dog trainers -- he truly loves dogs. He is able to communicate with Buddy, and Buddy readily responds to Ian's requests. I think Buddy readily responds because he knows that Ian cares for him. I appreciate Buddy's participation in Ian's morning adventures with the other pups. A great plus is that Buddy comes home not only satisfied but tired, and sleeps all afternoon long! This lets me do stuff uninterrupted, and that's a good thing. Thanks Ian!
