(from Google)We love trying out local breweries and we're happy we came. The coconut stout was delicious. Hubby enjoyed the imperial stout and our friend really enjoyed the Bourbon cider. The food was really good too. The only reason why I took away 1 star (and if I could do half stars that's what it would've been) is because when the band started playing their speakers were too loud. But not because of volume, because of acoustics. They were really talented but the speaker volume either would cause feedback or or distort the output. Otherwise we really enjoyed our visit and are making plans to return.
Rambunctious atmosphere with a decent beer menu highlighting their namesake - Elicit. Industrial feel with no sound insulation to quiet down the crowd. Long bar with multiple bartenders attending to the masses to keep things moving. Quite a few taps with most from Elicit but a number of other local and regional specialties. Lots of high top seating up front under a plethora of large screen TVs. There is a chest high wall separating another smaller seating area with more table seating. Back room with a huge tv and a number of tables as well. Big shuffleboard with $2 play up to 21 points. Cafeteria style food bar with a mix of bar snacks, sandwiches and pizza. Biggest complaint from me is the noise level. Just noisy from all the people talking - not music or tvs. Definitely want to try coming back when it’s not 20 degrees and the Biergarten is open!
A big place! Didn’t realize how big it was until arriving. A great place to meet up with a group. Drinks were easy, many bartenders for walk-up. The food was easy ordering and being alerted to it when ready. The nachos were awesome and the burger, too. It does turn into a band after hours after 9-10 so I don’t know if there is a cover. A great place to go for happy hour, early evening drinks and leave by then. Parking, no issue.
Went for trivia night last night for the first time at Elicit!! They have a huge selection of drinks, which is obviously important for a brewing company. We were a little surprised that there weren’t any servers and you order your food and drinks at the counter. You can also order with the QR code at the table and pick it up yourself, which is what we ended up doing. The food came out pretty fast, maybe 10–15 minutes. We ordered the crispy shrimp w. Yum yum sauce, sweet chili wings, and the spinach and artichoke dip with chips. The shrimp was definitely the BEST. The flavor was perfect. It was spicy as hell, but I’d 100% get it again. I'm pretty sure you can opt out of the chili spice. The wings had great flavor too. The spinach and artichoke dip wasn’t a smooth consistency & while I didn't mind that, my friend did. It was very chunky, and the chips were VERY salty. I’ve seen other people mention the saltiness, so it seems like something they should take into account. It was also pretty cold inside, which is the only reason I’m giving it 4 stars. The beer was absolutely DELICIOUS. I had the friends with benefits lager, just the drip coffee porter, and the over cerealized peanut butter stout. All three were 10/10 without a doubt. The staff behind the counter were super friendly and knowledgeable. I will definitely be going back to give it a second try.
Elicit is a great after-work hangout spot, and gets pretty lively even on weekdays! My coworkers and I visited for happy hour on a Thursday and were surprised at how spacious it is inside. There’s a separate counter for drink orders vs. food, so make sure you grab a table before heading to order. I tried one of the drinks on tap, the candy apple sangria. It was quite sweet and tasted like a Jolly Rancher, so the flavor definitely matched the name and description, although it wasn’t my favorite. The best part is the happy hour food menu: the portions were so generous for the price, and I loved the chicken empanadas (they have cheese, in case anyone is lactose intolerant). Would visit again to try the beer/cider selection and bring an even bigger group!
