Stamford Dog Park

Was supposed to open in the fall 2025 after construction. Now its become some top secret renovation spanning longer than expected and no one will say a word about it when you ask. You cant even call any Stamford office about it. Guess it will never reopen

Overall we love the Stamford dog park. We’ve met some awesome people, pups and our puppy has an amazing time! However, we have had experiences with both less than friendly people and dogs. The fences could also use to be updated (very hard to open and close the gates as the wood has warped) but I know that’s probably not a town priority.

Large park space, mostly dirt and rocks in the upper section. Separate sections for large and small dogs, although the large dog section has an extra, separated, gated section. Water and trash at entrance, with a few bags stations in the park. No real shade.

Love this dog park. My pup and I go here every morning. Lots of room for runners. Nice place to relax and watch the dogs play. Two sections for small and large dogs make it a great dog destination.

Really nice dog park and I was impressed at the upkeep of it. So much room for the dogs to actually run and not just a small fenced off section. It's pretty large and they do have a large dog section and small dog section which is also very convenient. Highly recommended and I haven't met a mean dog once yet at this park.
