(from Google)I truly appreciate the staff at this location for reassuring me that my dog DJ was being well cared for. They kept me informed about how he was eating and went above and beyond to ensure he felt comfortable and encouraged throughout his stay. It meant so much to know he was in such attentive and compassionate hands. I'm really greatful for the staff taking excellent care of him but also for keeping me updated every step of the way. I’m looking forward to future boarding bookings. A+ for the overall experience!
This is THE BEST boarding/daycare/grooming place in and around Charlotte! They always take amazing care of our babies. Recently had their first grooming appointment during their stay and WOW my babies were looking so clean and bright when we picked them up! Thanks guys! Yall are the best! Captain and Major were happy as always!
It was heavy on my heart to post our story. I'm not sure what happened but I think my dog could have been injured while staying here July 2024. I have used Pet Paradise many times over the last 18 years but this time the staff was cold and very disengaged. I explained his medication regimen and gave extra pain medication and chicken foid bags for his comfort. The woman just snached his stuff and tried to rush us off. I recorded my goodbye hugs and kisses. I was off to catch a plane and thought I was being overly protective. I looked for my 11 year old sweet Cavachon daily on the web cams for a week but never saw him once. I called everyday and was told he was fine. When I picked him up he had No additional pain medication, and no chicken. He should have had plenty left. Mind you his medication is a human pain pill. About a week after coming home he started to cough. It started mild and intensified fast. I took him to Banafield, Long Animal hospital and a allergy hospital over the next 4 months but the cough just got worse. I read later it could have been caused from jerking his collar or neck too hard. At that kennel they put this lease around his neck and was offended when I asked then not to use it due to his back issues. I now truly believe he was injured with that leash causing Tracheal collapse. Trachea collapse would explain the sudden persist cough that got worse and worse and by December 1 2024 my sweet innocent precious baby died. He had survived bladder cancer and was doing absolutely wonderful until his visit to Pet Paradise. If anyone else's dog has symptoms of persist terrible sounding cough shortly after leaving here please have them seen immediately for possible Tracheal collapse. It's too late for my baby. And if your pets medication comes up short report it immediately. It may be a ongoing problem that the facility is aware of.
We have 2 small dogs 15 pounds and 5 pounds. They listen to simple commands but are not very well trained. I need to say that first. The reviews were good so we brought our dogs Zeno & Chi Chi here for 3 days while out of town. We paid to see them on video playing twice a day, but we never saw our dogs on the feed. We took time out daily to see, and never spotted them. That does not mean they didn’t get group time. Just that each day and session we reserved time to check on our dogs and never saw them. We came to pick up our dogs on Wednesday at 5, 4 other owners came after us and left with their dog before us and that made us nervous. The manager walked back at 5 to get our dogs but at 515 we were still sitting there watching others dogs leave. My wife finally asked the front desk what’s going on? Where are our dogs? She went to the back and said, it looks like chi chi had an accident and is in the groomers section. We saw pictures of our dogs outside on more than one day. The people that work there seem to really care about animals, and their well being. Chi chi has watery eyes that get brown if not looked after, and her eyes looked like someone took care of her while she was there. So I have some mixed opinions. But, my conclusion is our dogs are home now and healthy as when they left. And I could feel the ppl we met there cared for dogs. But we didn’t feel we fully got what we paid for. I think we would maybe try this place one more time.
I’ve been using pet paradise for years. I have a very sweet Great Dane who can be timid at first and then bubbly the next and she absolutely loves pet paradise. I travel often and I’ve never had issues or concerns when my baby has stayed there. She’s stayed there for as min. 2 days to max 11 days when I went to Colombia a few years ago. There’s cameras, there’s options for foods if she runs out, and she gets her one on one time since she’s not spayed. If I ever need to extend a stay because of traffic or change in flight there is never any hassle. It’s worth the money in my opinion. I switch from lake Norman and Charlotte airport. Normally we go to lake Norman if we accidently aren’t up to date on shots. Love love this place. I don’t trust a lot of places with my fur baby especially as big and beautiful as she is.
