My boy got really sick on 03/02/26. When he started bloody diarrhea I brought him here.. Everyone was pleasant. I trust the care he received. The only issue I had was the wait. Yes I understand they take patients in order of situation. My dog was dehydrated and couldn’t keep anything down. We spent 7 hours here. I think they should have more doctors/ staff. They also were not very good about updating me or giving any timelines. I’m not sure I will go here in the future if he has another attack. I appreciate the care but my little dog needed care too in a timely manner.

I took my cat Adam to see Dr Summers for elevated lab tests & to have an ultrasound. She is an excellent vet who answered all my questions & was very thorough in her explanation of his condition. Her & the vet tech were very compassionate & caring. I highly recommend them. I am confident in their care of my baby. Adam also had an Endoscopy & is doing well after the procedure.

I will be honest, in the current climate I have been skeptical of IndyVet (or any emergency vets) because of a few institutions' tendencies to be a little predatory. However, I truly had a phenomenal experience with the neuro department at IndyVet. My 5 year old corgi Ruthie "went down" with IVDD during a giant snowstorm and I wasn't able to get her from Bloomington to Indianapolis until several days after she became paralyzed in her back end. We worked with Dr. Tadros and her neuro team and it was honestly an even better experience than I could say I've had with my personal doctors. Dr. Tadros was kind, clear, realistic, and exceptionally caring. Her nurses were so patient and gentle and explained Ruthie's treatment and long-term care needs to me in explicit detail. Dr. Tadros called me herself multiple times to give updates on Ruthie's condition and while I was heartbroken and terrified, I felt very much supported through the whole experience. I cannot recommend Dr. Tadros, Nurse Kelsey, and Nurse Melissa enough if your fur baby is suffering from IVDD or any sort of spinal issue. ------ IndyVet - this part is for you - I had a not-great interaction upon arrival with the lady with a brownish-gray bob and glasses at the front desk who made a really bad-taste joke about how my "credit card was going to be getting a workout" as I was checking in my paralyzed dog for emergency spinal surgery. I was honestly speechless to which she essentially responded with "she knows, that's why she doesn't have anything to say!" I found it to be a very jarring way to start my journey at IndyVet and would hope no one else has to deal with that. However, outside of my interactions with her, I had a really really great experience in the face of a really awful situation. I am very grateful, truly.

Arrived at 11:30 pm - my cat had 2 seizure-like episodes prior to arrival. We were placed in a room right away and seen in order of urgency. A staff member would come in periodically to check on us. Dr was very good at listening to my concerns and what I remembered happened. They examined Mimzy, I found inner ear infection was probably cause. Put her on antibiotics and steroids with follow-up instructions. We were discharged at around 5am. 2 days later, Mimzy is showing signs of improvement. I am pleased with the efficiency and caring attitude of staff. They put me at ease right away. I was given a partial refund of my deposit, for actual services rendered. I got a follow-up email as well. I would definitely recommend them for any urgent care.

.We met with Dr. James to discuss concerns about possible anal cancer in our dog, Baxter. Dr. James was very informative and clearly explained all possible outcomes, which was exactly what I needed. After the exam, Dr. James explained that there were no signs of cancer, but biopsy samples were taken for further analysis. We were told we would receive the results within 7–10 days. I’m very grateful to have Indy Vet and their wonderful staff available to reach out to when needed.
