Everyone on the team is amazing. Very personable and eager to help. The Docs gave my emu every treatment for every possibility and had great communication with me during his stay.

Best exotic vet I have been to! I have brought my red ear slider in the last two egg-laying seasons, and each time I'm given the situation, and the cost up front for what needs to be done. They also include what may be needed so I know what to expect if things go differently. My turtle started with 6 eggs on the first visit, with the expectation that they would move along naturally. Welp things took a turn as she laid one egg and nothing after. Took her in for the second follow-up visit and we had 11 eggs she needed help with. She stayed overnight so they could help her. She is my rescue baby and has been though so much it's hard to be away from her. I trust them so much to leave her 53 minutes away overnight with no stress whatsoever. I highly recommend them to anyone with reptiles or amphibians. It's worth the drive!!

Dr. Lofgren took great care of my head hen after I thought nothing could save her. I learned a lot (including stop reading the Internet for answers) and my girl is thriving again!

We’d been bringing our male senior ferret, Hogger here on a frequent schedule since September. That first visit was an emergency visit and at the time it was the first one we had ever had with him. It was a prolapse that turned out to not have been that bad of a case! But it was so scary because he was so little. Since it was an emergency visit we’d gone across the street for the emergency services and gotten Dr. Bowersox, who was patient, caring, and while she didn’t have a ton of experience with exotics made every effort to make sure he got the care he needed! As it turned out she was getting assistance from Dr. Lofgren. From there we pretty much returned with all of our senior ferret needs to Dr. Lofgren. She’s incredibly caring, so knowledgeable and experienced with ferrets and we never felt he wasn’t in good hands. She always gave us any and all information and answered any question we had. I appreciate that she not only spoke from a place of experience but also someone who continuously did the research. And not just her but all the staff in the exotics building had so much compassion and love for the animals that would show up. Our sweet Hogger passed away a couple of days ago and it was kind of sudden but I’m glad that it happened in the presence of Dr. Lofgren and staff. I know he was loved, I know he was cared for and comforted in those last moments, and I know they were humane. Thank you to everyone at Mountain West Veterinary Exotics. (Hogger pics included 💕)

We visited Mountain West as my guinea pig Mohave was struggling! It was an emergency no doubt! They took him immediately to give him oxygen, Within a few minutes they had taken him to xray, then back on oxygen! When the doctor came out she advised that he had upper respiratory infection. She gave options for his care, approximate cost. Of course he was a lil chunk, 1.6 pounds! We laughed! I asked questions, she answered. Then came the lousy part, my sweet Mohave was full of lymphoma! Last she offered euthanasia as an option! I needed a few minutes, I had held him the entire day before with a few potty breaks. I knew he was suffering! Went back inside to give just a few more kisses and loves! The greatest Hello, the hardest Goodbye! Every person that day did their very best for us! I felt Peace knowing I'd done my best! Mohave, was hand delivered to my door about 1.5 weeks later! I'm grateful for the care, kindness, concern that day! I definitely highly recommend them! Thanks Y'all 🖤🐹✌
