(from Google)What an awesome gold nugget find. I was searching for gardens to walk. Plenty of parking. Even in widowhood ter season there us so much beauty. One sees 👀 different views in each season.
Even in the winter, Hatcher Garden is beautiful & peaceful. There are ample places to just sit and be in the garden. I came with 3 small kids, so there wasn’t much sitting for me, however I found it to be a great place for the kids to be able to enjoy nature. It’s lovely that they have the kids garden area, which has a large sandbox and its own water features, as well as hopscotch. I appreciate that the remainder of the garden is open to the kids as well. We loved reading the informative signs throughout the garden, and did a few of the exercise activities listed on the website. I wasn’t able able to find a physical map anywhere, perhaps we just missed it by not going in the office/shop. That said, it’s a small enough area that you can’t really get lost. It feels much bigger than it is when you are in the forested areas, but all the paved trails are connected in such a way that you can easily find your way.
This park has many wonderful features and an impressive amount of plants. I love the little unexpected treasures while walking the paths. Excellent park for children.
What a beautiful oasis to come across! There are paved trails and also wooded trails and lots of beautiful plants and gardens! The staff were kind and helpful!
A serene park in the middle of the bustling surroundings. Walk the many pathways through the densely wood areas. From every location you can hear the sounds of the waterfalls and brook. There are many benches to sit and enjoy the experience. Informational signs provide great explanations about the trees, wildlife, plants and the environment. Work is continuing to enhance and expand the park.
