Whalon Lake

Really pleasant place. Has a couple of sheds and places to grill. The lake is nice and clean and offers a great view. You can also kayak over here. They only offer kayaks.

Beautiful 😍 place! Came early August and saw sooo many monarch butterflies!! Cool dog park right there too. I didn't see any bathrooms though. There is a picnic area covered and a dock to take a paddle board or kayak out. Nice easy walking path.

Great rec area with a dog park nearby. There are two concrete boat ramps to launch kayaks or canoes and plenty of trailer parking spots for fishing boats, too. The entire park district area is super clean. The water is super deep. Make sure you wear a PFD when near the water.

What an amazing space for hiking with family and pets! Clean trails for hiking, the one around the lake is my favo— It was about 1.6 miles long, great for dog walking as well. Although, there is a huge dog park (paid) at this location, we prefer to walk our dog on the trails and he loves meeting other dogs in the way. 🐶 If you’re cycling here and in case of any issues, there’s a whole repairing kit/tools provided adjacent to the restroom (at the entry). Plenty of parking spots at different locations including the accessible parking. Kayaking, boating,fishing available at the lake which makes it a great spot for family fun time. #petfriendly #familyfun #lake #hiking #biking

Beautiful neat trail with 2 island where you can do your own kayaking or rent right by the island. The inner circle I believe is 1.4 mile, However it’s more bigger then that yet to be explored. I enjoyed the sunset view and the walk. It also has a BBQ place so great for having family picnic or small get together. Good for rollerblades as well Washroom & water are also on the site Luv it !!!
