(from Google)Terrible experience, we were charged 130$ and when we received our dog back he was still wet. She asked me if i want teeth brushing i literally said no and they still charged me for it. The price was unadjusted for the service that was rendered . I don’t recommend them at all
This business should not be operating in its current condition. The level of unprofessionalism and the way animals are treated here is unacceptable. From the moment I walked in, the attitude was hostile and dismissive, and the experience only got worse from there. Pet owners trust groomers with members of their family. Based on what I witnessed, this establishment does not meet the standards of care, professionalism, or respect that any responsible business should uphold. Management needs to seriously reevaluate their practices. Until significant changes are made, I strongly believe this business should not continue serving the public.
I wanted to find somewhere close and had same day availability since our usual groomer was booked up so I called them. Well, that was a GRAVE mistake and I see why they were so happy to get me in asap. First of all, the girl that answered the phone gave me some pricing “based on weight” which I totally understand. I then ask her about the discounts they showed online and she started stuttering as if she didn’t really want to give it to me. Her response was “oh um yes, if you were a first time customer then i guess we would give you 10%”. You knew I clearly was but moving along. I told them I wanted teddy bear cuts for my 2 mini poodles. She said they might have some matting charges and I said that’s fine. I took them up there, the groomer barely examined them or talked to me before proceeding to take my dogs in the back to get started. 5 hours later, I pick them up and my dogs look NOTHING like what I asked for. I wanted to maintain length but they chopped off half on both of their bodies. I wanted a rounded teddy bear face and they SHAVED their faces. I have NEVER went to a groomer where they did something without calling me. If you’re not able to do what I asked then I should have been at least notified by phone. NOT when I’m picking them up and the damage is done. On top of that, the ENTIRE cut on BOTH dogs were choppy! Not to mention they charged me $250 WITH the 10% discount. The girl also tried to charge me extra for trimming of the paws and ears. I asked isn’t that included in the full groom? She said “oh yeah, let me take that off”. THE WORST part?! I asked why the extra $80? She said it was because they had to detangle for an extra 15 minutes. Yes. 15 minutes. I will post the receipt. Lastly, for this price you would think that they would put a bandana or a bow on them. NOPE. They will never touch my dogs again. They do not care about the dogs and you can tell they are here just for the money. I’m sorry but I’m leaving my babies with you, I have to trust that you actually care. I will be posting pics of them AFTER a groom at Happy Snoutz on Sept 16, 2025 and also pictures from today. PLEASE do not waste your money or think because it’s in River Oaks that they are quality. They are definitely NOT.
I rarely write bad reviews, but this experience was truly disappointing. I brought my 5 month old puppy in for his first haircut and was so excited, but everything went downhill quickly. I waited in the lobby for about 15 minutes while Anthony, the front desk clerk, tried calling the groomer, but he never answered. Since the groomer was so late, another groomer eventually stepped in to check us in. I was told Milo would be ready at 1:30pm, but he wasn’t done until after 3:00pm and no one called to update me. I had to reach out myself around 1:45pm just to confirm details and restate what I wanted, even though I had already explained it to both the front desk clerk (Anthony) and the groomer who checked Milo in. Mind you, drop off was at 12pm, we made it there at 12:09pm. When I finally picked him up, the haircut was nothing like what I asked for. It wasn’t a true Schnauzer cut, it was uneven and choppy. I honestly cried when I saw him. When I expressed my disappointment about the cut and long wait, no one apologized or offered any solution, not even a discount. Anthony showed no concern at all. As a first-time customer and new dog mom, this experience left me heartbroken and anxious to try any other groomer. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning. $102 completely wasted, and an experience I’ll never forget for all the wrong reasons.
I use to go here with my 4 pups and honestly this place has just gone downhill, there is never the same staff anymore and I just feel like there isn't tenderness and care for my animals like before. One of my dogs are a little aggressive and instead of warming up to ny dog one of the groomers was like you don't scare me and she was taunting her. The time before that one of the groomers clipped my dogs tongue& Last time I picked them up I was surprised to find my dog returned to me like this eyes swollen and she couldn't see. I absolutely will not be coming here again.
