Adopted cats here, all of which were a clean bill of health and the application process was easy as long as you had everything you needed in order. Staff is extremely friendly, they play great matchmakers, and you can tell how much they love these animals and would like to get them out the door. If you’re looking for your match, I’d highly recommend adopting from them or at least seeing what your options are!

We just adopted our second kitty here not too long ago. Adoption was so easy and informative. You can tell the staff cares a lot about the animals, and for both cats it’s been a pretty easy transition into the home. Pickle (aka Alvin) is fitting in great with us! He is slowly bonding with his new brother Smudge (previously named Skippy) and is the most adorable clingy lap cat. The staff updated us on all his medical history so there was no guesswork to give him the best care and ensure he’s living his best cat life here. We love him and CCHS ❤️

CCHS is amazing to work with for adoptions. We picked up Luna in October of 2024. She fits in perfectly as my side kick. Then we adopted Sage last month after our sweet old doggo passed away. She was the chaos we needed for our crew and has settled in very well with our family. Highly recommend CCHS.

We adopted a seven-year old dog in September this year as a birthday present for my daughter, and to keep our other, older dog company (he was adopted from a different shelter, where we had a bad experience). From the moment we walked into CCHS, we felt so taken care of. The staff was professional, responsive, and helpful, and answered all of our questions. The facilities were very clean and seemed comfortable for the animals. Everyone took their jobs very seriously, with the animals' well-being at the heart of all actions. We were able to meet the dog we wanted to meet and complete the paperwork for adoption on the same day. I appreciated how thorough the application was, checking references and contacting our vet. We also really appreciated the meet and greet between the CCHS dog we were considering adopting and our current pup! Bree, the animal trainer, spent almost an entire hour with us as we introduced the dogs, and she assessed in real time how she thought they might get along, and gave us many useful tips for go-home day. When we picked up our new dog, they continued to stress that it was okay to return him if it wasn't a good fit and that doing so would have no bearing on our ability to adopt again. I appreciated how transparent they were, which also demonstrated that they just want what's best for the animals and are serious about finding them happy homes. We did not need to return our pup, and now we have two happy, happy dogs who have become fast friends and cuddle buddies. We would definitely adopt from CCHS again!

A month after our senior dog passed away, my wife found an adorable German shepherd-mix puppy looking for a good home. They were very accommodating in helping us meet him, they have amazing visiting rooms where you get to meet the pet and get a good idea if we and it would be a good fit. Once we knew he would be a great addition to our family, we put in an adoption application. The adoption process was very reasonable meant to ensure that the pets would find their forever home. The staff was amazing and they show true compassion for the animals.
