The assistant did do a good job grooming my dog but did not know how much to charge for the service, I paid him what he asked for plus I gave him a nice tip and he went on his way. Then about 10 minutes later he called me and said the owner of the business was irate, he said she was screaming at him because he didn't charge me enough and that she would never go to my place again. I asked him to explain to her that I didn't know what the price should be and asked him to also tell her that I was happy to pay the difference, he said she continued to scream at him and she said that I should have known what the price would be. A few minutes later the groomer returned to my place and was totally bewildered by the situation and her attitude, he said she would not listen to reason. In my opinion the woman acted totally unprofessional and doesn't seem to have the best interest of the animals at heart!! How am I supposed to know how much the appointment should cost when her own groomer didn't even know her prices or how much to charge? What did she think I was going to stiff her for the tiny amount she said I still owed her, I don't think so being that she knew exactly where I live and that I was offering to make up the difference. Bad business sense, overreacting and her lack of compassion turned an innocent situation into a very unpleasant experience. I would not recommend this business!
Happy Tails has handled my pet dog, Skippy, for several years. Nick Karanicholas is an excellent groomer; however, he left the company more than 2 months ago. Upon his departure he notified the company of his outstanding appointments so the owner could follow-up with the clients. This owner does not appear to care about following up with Nick's past clients. Although, the owner has worked on Skippy in the past when Nick had medical leave due to a personal accident, she has not returned any phone calls or text messages requesting dog grooming for Skippy. She claims on her voice mail that she will immediately respond to her text messages but will respond to her voice messages in a slower time frame. Skippy has been without grooming for more than 2 months due to her lack of follow-up on all fronts.
Rachel is the best! She was super sweet and caring with my fur baby. He had never been professionally groomed before and she knew exactly how to handle him- with tender loving care!!! I have been recommending this business to everyone who will listen. Also, Kathy was soooo helpful over the phone. Thank you to the both of you for all the care and love!!
Best groomer in the area. She treats your fur babies like her own! We would highly recommend her. A little pricey but you don’t have to leave your they are right out your front door. 🐾❤️🐾❤️
