(from Google)We love “Must Love Pawz!” our dog Hamilton has been going for 6 months. He loves his time there! We have done daycare as well as boarding. Our experience has been wonderful! The daily feedback is great we feel so comfortable leaving him with the staff!
MLP is the ONLY place we board Mabel, our six year old golden retriever. It’s conveniently located near the airport, the pricing is reasonable, and there are cute add on services customized to your pet. Mabel prefers the frozen peanut butter Kong and individual play time. At least she hasn’t complained. The team posts Facebook photos which are fun to watch. Most importantly, the Victoria and her team are incredibly kind and treat your pet as if it were their own. Recently, I made a list minute trip to visit an ill family member. The team bent over backwards to accomodate pick up and drop off times outside the typical window which was one less thing to worry about during a stressful time. I highly recommend this business and am thankful for the continued warm and professional service.
I love how the staff knows our Pearl and greets her as we arrive. They often show images of the dogs having fun on their social media platforms. But though the months I’ve left my Pearl there I’ve observed things and I’m sharing my experience so other dog parents can make informed decisions. Last Saturday, Pearl, attended daycare here and arrived healthy. A day or two later, she became very sick and was diagnosed with kennel cough. She is improving now with care and antibiotics but the experience was frightening and included persistent coughing, gagging, and vomiting white foam. Pearl was so scared she was afraid to lay down to sleep and she’d start coughing and gagging every 30 minutes or so (see videos). This diagnosis, combined with previous concerns, led me to reassess the level of care and hygiene at the facility. On multiple occasions prior to this illness, Pearl came home smelling strongly of urine and urgently needed to relieve herself immediately upon pickup, which is not normal behavior for her. On one occasion, I was told she had soiled her crate during a stay, something she has never done at home. A few weeks earlier, I also had to cancel daycare after Pearl developed an eye infection following a stay. When I spoke with the facility, I was informed that dogs are allowed to urinate and defecate in the same areas where they play, with no separate potty routine. This raised additional concerns for me regarding cleanliness, stress, and illness prevention in a shared environment. I understand that kennel cough can happen anywhere dogs are in close contact, and I’m not claiming otherwise. However, taken together, these experiences created a loss of confidence in the care environment. As a result, I’ve decided not to continue daycare services here. Staff interactions were always polite, but ultimately the hygiene practices and care structure did not align with what I’m comfortable with for my Pearl.
MLP stepped up to the plate in a big way when our former walkers/ sitters transitioned into other jobs. It was such a relief to find a pool of multiple sitters to draw from whenever we have to be away from our goofy guy Artie. They were so willing to move their own plans around to accommodate us when we had to travel on short notice! Emily was a total lifesaver. They also took great care of Artie when we traveled over the holidays. I loved seeing Emily's pet journal entries/ updates and photos as she got to know him and his silly antics. So grateful to have MLP on our pet care team!!
I've been taking my dog, Argo, to must love pawz for the past six months. I drop him off once or twice a week for daycare, and every few months for boarding overnight. The staff is very friendly and you can tell they love all the dogs. My dog has separation anxiety and is normally anxious when I leave him, but at daycare, he's so excited to go see the other dogs that he can't get away from me fast enough. This place is great and I feel completely comfortable leaving my dog at must love pawz.
