(from Google)Good park but often has a homeless man in the corner, dirty bathrooms, or overflowing trash cans. But overall, great little park for an afternoon with the kids or to toss a frisbee around
Joaquin Park is a great place to relax and enjoy some time outdoors. I’ve been here for walks and casual visits, and it always feels calm and well cared for. There’s a good amount of open space, and the park never feels overly busy. It’s easy to find a spot to sit, walk, or just enjoy the fresh air. The surroundings make it feel like a quiet escape while still being close to town. It’s a dependable park that’s easy to enjoy any time of day.
Simple, fun playground. No parking area and street parking was full at 11 on a weekday. Restrooms and pavilion area with tables. Some shaded spaces, but playground has very minimal shade.
I like how close this park is for so many families, but have two major issues. 1) There is no shade over the playground spaces, so the slides get unsafely hot in the summer, so you can only go very early in the day. 2) There are a large number of homeless people who frequent the park. I normally would not be bothered, but it is common knowledge not to use the restrooms because needles are frequently left in there. And that feels unsafe when you are the only parent at the park.
Great park with fun toys for all ages. Great grass area and picnic area. The only down side is that it gets really hot during the summer and there is very little shade.
