(from Google)If you want to see the witch in her element please do stop by this beautiful nature area. It's absolutely beautiful and as all lands are, sacred. Dogs are allowed and welcomed.
During a night visit, some stars were visible in lieu of the city lights. The traffic noise is moderate with the business of Prospect Rd. to the south. This was lessened by the calming sounds of the local insects and water fowl. There are lots of paths, benches, and a small doc for passing the time.
Love the water and open paths. Kid friendly walking. Easy parking. Trail offers dog bags if you don't have them. Decent outhouse. All this allows for an opportunity to just enjoy paths wth your dog/child without concern if a "need" emerges with self or little ones. Saw a person with a wheeled walker on path... So would think OK for wheelchairs But there are some muddy areas.
I like the trail that covers the riverbend ponds as well as cottonwood natural area ft co all these ponds were sand and gravel ponds when. I was a kid.a family member off mine worked for the company that dug the holes now ponds and created the natural area we have in the city that we all have. To enjoy for years to come
Peaceful and uncrowded. Plenty of trails and places to sit or fish by a pond or the Poudre river.
