Spring Creek Forest Preserve

I went for the Trout Lily walk since they had started blooming. Coordinates with iNaturalist were there telling us about the Trout Lily as well as other nature. It was a fun and beautiful walk and I will be going back to hike there!

Great hidden gem! And I think it’s a spot for people who go “cruising” which is a plus for some people I’ve seen up there lol

I've had so many beautiful meditation experiences at this park it's so good to come and enjoy nature. It's well kept and has plenty of trails

I've walked this nature trail for years and it's lovely every time. It's very well-kept by the city: it's clean, well-maintained, and beautiful. Public restrooms are available at the start of the trail as well. Just make sure you drive up to the entrance slowly, it's very easy to miss!

For Garland Texas this is a 5/5… The trails are simple and nice though rather short, with a very family-friendly vibe. There are also wide-open fields, and the overall atmosphere is like the kind of place where you can wave to people and they wave back. While there’s still some trash, it’s much more minimal compared to other parks I’ve visited. I only explored the right side of the park today, but I plan to return and check out the left side to get a fuller experience. Based on my first visit, it’s clear that whoever maintains this park has done a thoughtful job. I’ll update my review once I’ve had the chance to explore more, but for now, I’d recommend this park.
