Beautiful and peaceful hiking.

Beautiful north Florida trail! We walked this trail for a chilly January afternoon adventure with our children and one of our pups, and we really enjoyed it. It was very well marked and maintained. We only walked 2 miles in before we had to head back before it got dark. We will definitely be walking it again, but maybe in the spring. We would have given this trail 5 stars, however, the trail is clearly marked that it is for foot traffic only, and that was not the case for its usage. Horses have definitely been taken down the trail. There are divots large enough to roll your ankle in on the sandy trail from horse tracks, and there was a very large pile of horse poo in the middle of the trail about 1 mile in.

Well marked and beautiful views! As is the case with any trail in snake country, watch where you're running and beware of wildlife!

Well-marked and well-maintained by the Florida Trail Association. Open landscape with young trees makes it the perfect trail on cool and overcast days. Sandy path with diverse flora throughout. Rolling hills and partial overlooks of lovely ponds. Some nearby swampy areas might mean flooding in spots after heavy rain. **Note: I only went out
