(from Google)⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 100/10 recommend! We moved out of Texas and have struggled to find anything comparable to ALT in our new state! We originally came to ALT to help socialize our Dalmatian in different environments and around new people. We loved their training style so much that we later enrolled our Rottweiler in their board and train program. We were completely new to professional dog training, and ALT did an amazing job teaching us how to properly set our dogs up for success. They go beyond just “positive reinforcement only” and take the time to teach you how to safely and effectively use tools like e-collars, prongs, and treats as part of a balanced approach. Their group classes are so much fun, and we always felt supported. There was always enough staff available to give individual attention, so we never felt overlooked. They also offer seasonal classes, which keeps things fresh and exciting. For example, one of our favorite experiences was when they encouraged us to try dock diving. I wasn’t sure if our dogs would even like it, but with their guidance, we gave it a shot and both of our girls absolutely loved it! If you’re looking for a fun, supportive, and truly effective training experience, this is the place to go. Because of ALT, we constantly get compliments on how well-trained our dogs are. They’ve been exposed to so many different environments and activities, and we feel completely confident taking them anywhere. You won’t regret it! We miss our ALT family 💙💙
Edit: 4/16/2025 Alpha Leader K9 has continued to support me with my pack! I recently gained two new dogs and they continue to show me how to be a strong and confident dog handler and always teaching me how to use the proper tools. They also help me to recognize good and bad manners of mine and other dogs. They also teach me how to improve and educated myself on desired behaviors. Everyday I am learning more from them and thankful that I can take home every learning experience! If you're considering a place to call home consider past and present reviews from clients! We will not disappoint! ALT changed my dog and my way of thinking and training! They taught me how to train my dog with training me first. They really showed me how to use facts over emotions and show me what I was missing! Zee and I have a much better relationship and respect for one another!!!! Thank you ALT!
Edit 4/16/25: You mentioned that my dog entered your space uninvited and sniffed a dog in your class. That is simply not true. Like I said in my original review, we were on a walk at a public park. Your class had items lying on the sidewalk where we were walking. The dog in your class ran from the activities TOWARD my dog. My dog did NOT approach or sniff any of the dogs in your class. I have not had any altercations with my dog in the park, that is simply not true especially considering he has only been here for 2 weeks. He tried to run away from the other one. The dogs in your class should not be unleashed at public park, where the rules are to have ALL dogs leashed. - Do NOT bring your dog to Alpha Leader K9 Training. It is NOT SAFE, the instructors are rude, dismissive, and will put all blame on the dog owners for the company’s mistakes. They do not take accountability for the lack of safety measures for their classes. A dog in their class lunged at my dog while we were on our walk during one of their sessions at Jaycee Park. I had to physically put myself between them as the other dog kept chasing after mine. Thankfully, my dog did not get hurt. None of instructors in charge came after to ask if we were okay, and only after I asked one of their staff to get them did they do so begrudgingly. They immediately gave attitude saying they addressed the situation by moving their session farther back in the grass and put blame on the dog owners for not better handling their dog. They said my dog was “fine” and “these things have to happen for dogs to learn.” Again, my dog was not in their class, simply on a walk! Why should MY dog be attacked by a dog in YOUR class so it can “learn a lesson?!” They chalked it up to the other dog being curious, and my dog being scared. Why did I have to physically put myself between them then?? This was such an insensitive and disrespectful response completely lacking accountability. They scoffed when I brought up the safety of holding a class in a PUBLIC park RIGHT NEXT TO A SIDEWALK, the ratio of dogs to instructors, and whether the dog who lunged at mine was fit to be in a class in this environment. I called them out for not coming immediately to address the situation but they said they were taking care of it by moving their equipment. If they have enough staff, then why could one of them who was in charge not have come to talk with me and the other dog owner? More importantly, the instructors clearly cannot keep track of the dogs in class and whether they have “e-collars” on, which they said was supposed to keep the dogs “in check.” Again, they put blame solely on the dog owner and said sorry in the most disingenuous and dismissive way before walking away. While the dog owners themselves were very apologetic, I was more upset at the way Alpha Leader K9 handled this situation. They really tried to make themselves seem like they had 0 fault in this whole situation. I will be warning all my friends and family to stay clear of this place. tldr; this place is NOT safe, the instructors will hold any dog owner liable for their mishandling of the class.
I cannot say enough good things about this place. The training we and our dogs have received has made such a difference. We have completed the puppy training class and are working on the next level. The training is well worth the time and money as our dogs are so much happier and well behaved.
I've always wanted a mini Aussie because they are super smart. I got a puppy and realized by 6 months of age I needed help to establish the best relationship possible. With ALT I got so much more. Not only did I create the best relationship with my dog, I joined THE BEST TEAM of dog fanatics. I found a whole new circle of friends that love their dog(s) as much as I love mine. ALT has provided all of the resources to help me train my dog and given me the best tool bag. They have answers for any roadblocks I face with my pack. With ALT, we have FUN at every single class while strengthening the bond between dog & handler.
