(from Google)Beautifully renovated park in Cape Coral on the shores of Caloosahatchee river. Check out the video for some details. Great park for all ages.
Gorgeous new park with too many features to name. My favorite things are the unique stone benches, the river walk, and the two separate playgrounds for different age ranges. The splash pad is fantastic, my son has a blast there. The white and teal color scheme is refreshing and bright. Super fun place to take a walk or roller skate. Good vibes.
I signed the petition to prevent upgrading the park as I focused solely on the shade of the large Australian pines. I was sad to see them go and missed the park that brought us to this neighborhood just before COVID. Well, I tried to be positive during the 16 months of construction and was eager to see the new park. I was not disappointed!!! It's magnificent. My wife and I walk 3X around the park every morning and that, along with to and from our condo, provides 2 miles of exercise. During this time of year, we do head down shortly after 7 AM To beat the 🥵. We are excited for all the times we'll be there to enjoy the views, the excitement of the splash pad, playground, dogs and other families at the picnic tables. All that and the privilege to show it off to visitors and, we can't wait, our grandson.
Nice wide-open space, plenty of lawn and concrete walking trails. Some fabricated shade dpots. Nice view of the Caloosahatchee River. Seems good for preschoolers and people who live within walking distance. Too bad it will take years for natural shade to make the space worthy of calling it a "park."
It is nice that the park was renovated, has a nice view over the river now and some new board walks and a splash pad for children as well as a misting area for walkers. Also I like that there are drinking water areas throughout the park for people and pets. However, it is sad that all the trees and shaded areas ,that were there because of the trees, are gone. It is too hot to walk around in the sun with limited or no shaded areas. It’s nice for families but a little too hot and bright for people who just want to enjoy walking their dogs.
