Dion in the aquatic department was very helpful with advice and selection for a new aquarium and fish selection. I highly recommend if him for anyone that is a beginner and wanting to set up an aquarium.

I went into the Fort Smith Petco on Friday Dec 12, 2025 at 8PM because my daughter told me that they have holiday dog and cat toys buy 1 get 2 free. I couldn't find any signs so I asked an employee and he said that only a small selection of chew toys were on sale. I called my daughter and she said their page said holiday dog and cat toys. I asked for a manager and after several minutes of trying to find the info, he said only the Merry Maker brand was on sale. I found me some toys to purchase but when I went to check out the first toy rang up $15.00 but the sign on the box of toys said they were on sale for $10.50. He called the manager up and after I pointed the sign out he reluctantly rang the toy up for the $10.50. He did not say one word to me and I could tell he was not happy. As I was leaving I saw him go over to the box of toys and rip the $10.50 sign off the box. If they don't want to honor the sale, maybe they shouldn't post it on their website. After I returned home my daughter showed me their website and there are several different brands on the buy 1 get 2 sale, not just the Merry Makers. I don't know if the manager didn't know about the sale (which as a manager he should) or if he just didn't want to honor the sale that Petco is having. P.S. I loved the toys!

Look, I came in for fish and I left satisfied, but let me tell you about the wait. I'm pretty sure I could've filed my taxes, done my laundry, and learned a basic conversational language in the thirty minutes it took for an employee to materialize and notice my existential dread in the aquatic aisle. It was a serious test of patience (maybe bring a snack). That said, once I finally got assistance, everything completely turned around. The person who helped me was an absolute MVP. They were friendly, super quick, and had my new aquatic buddies bagged and ready to go before I even finished locating my wallet. This specific location also has a surprisingly awesome selection of fish; it's definitely not just the usual sad suspects. So, while you might feel like you're waiting for a celestial alignment to get help, the service is stellar once you get it, and the selection is worth the trip. Four stars, because the staff that actually shows up deserves five, but the overall wait time demands a slight deduction.

I went the other day and got some stuff for a gako I found.its a baby and very small.im going to try and raise him.the very pretty young lady helped me find and get the stuff I need.she was very helpful verry nice and she was working none stop the whole time I was there.it was a refreshing change to be treated like a valuable customer,unlike most places in ft smith.i hope her boss notices her hard work and how she treated the customers.she deserves a raise.thank you young lady for your kindness.

I took my Doodle to the Vet (Vetco) on Saturday with a UTI. We were both treated so kindly and would love to go back there when needed. From the check in process to discharge, everyone was excellent. I highly recommend trying Petco.
