Edelweiss Biergarten

I want to be Samantha’s best friend, she is one of the most hospitable and caring servers I’ve had in a LONG time. My fiancé and I were first time diners, and because my fiancé is Chinese, he was nervous about trying something strictly German. I’m a server and he’s a chef so we know things can be very hit-or-miss when it comes to a specialized cuisine. Samantha walked us through the menu and answered our questions. The food is amazing!! Authentic flavors. The beers that Samantha chose for our flight are delicious!! My mom was stationed in Germany during her military service (she chose it because her parents are partially German) and was housed by a woman who made her home cooked food everyday. My mom learned from her and used to make so many dishes for me growing up. She used to tell me how much she wanted to return to Germany together and give me the experiences she had. I just moved to N. PHX recently from the Chandler area and was worried I wouldn’t find a new regular spot that would cure my homesickness but you will find me here. Now that you know my life story— Multiple bars, seating is incredible because the place is pretty large, the Biergarten is beautiful and features a stage for live music (so does the inside!) I would highly recommend stopping by. Instead of dreaming about it. I’m having leftovers as we speak. 😏

The mashed potatoes are a beacon of hope in tough times. I love them. 10/10. The cake travels well and is excellent 4 hours later. Thank you for the best service every visit!

The food was fantastic! Everything tasted perfect sooo good. We had the pretzel bites, the original brat dinner, and the dessert apple strudel. 2 of us went and we split everything. It was the perfect amount of food. We liked that it wasn’t super loud (we went on a Tuesday night) and when there was someone playing music it wasn’t so loud you couldn’t hear the person across the table from you. Our waitress was amazing! She was extremely kind and helpful as we asked all of our questions. This will now be one of our regular places to go for dinner!

We’ve visited many times, and every time we’ve really enjoyed having dinner here. The service has always been friendly. However, we had a terrible experience with a very tall female waitress this time. We understood that the night was busy, but she kept skipping our table, and we waited about 35 minutes just to place our order. Then, we waited another 45 minutes to get our food. She didn’t come by or say anything during that entire time. We don’t mind waiting, but it was quite obvious that she was intentionally ignoring our table.

Out showing homes in N Phoenix, and decided to grab a bite with my buddy David. He recommended Edelweiss Biergarten, which was perfect timing for Oktoberfest. I have limited knowledge of German food, but I will say that I loved everything that we had here. Best beer cheese ever, and the schnitzel was perfect. Parking is a little rough, but well worth the wait. Our server Samantha was getting her butt kicked all night long by the crowd, but she handled it well and was a lot of fun to BS with. …my opinion. The food is better than Haus Murphy. 🤯 I would LOVE if they opened something out in my neck of the woods in QC/STV I think they would crush it out here.
