Very little disturbance and a good spot for fishing alone or with company.

Good place to bank fish. I was there with Clear Texas Lakes yesterday, participating in a lakeshore cleanup hosted by City of Garland. We had hard working volunteer young ladies from local high schools helping us clean up trash. Good job ladies!

Nice little park. Easily accessible, clean, well maintained. I long shoreline allows for many people to fish and not feel cramped. The boat ramp is not steep, easy in and out for most single trailers. Plenty of parking for trailers, a few porta potties around.

My son and I spend a lot of time fishing here. It is usually pretty clean but there are people that don't feel they need to clean up after themselves. The day after Easter was especially bad. There were crushed plastic eggs, plastic grass, food containers, discarded toys, etc. all over. The park crews do their best and are constantly out there cleaning up and maintaining the landscape. There was a homeless camp behind the park, but it was recently removed by the police and cleanup crew. There is always a mix of different types of people out there, but we have never encountered anyone out to harm people. The wildlife is very curious about people, and we have encountered many different species on trips. There are squirrels, blue heron, turtles, ducks, snakes, and many different types of other birds. The one thing that bothers me is the restroom situation. There are 3 portables at the main parking lot by the boat ramp, but no others in the rest of the park. It can be a long walk if you are utilizing the eastern majority of the park. Overall we really enjoy the place and have created a lot of good fishing memories here.
