(from Google)We are pleased to have OC Veterinary Medical Center taking care of our Koda. Everyone is nice, professional and have a lot empathy.
I really wanted to like this place. There are some nice staff and the Dr was nice. However, regarding competence and pricing, I am not sure I can recommend. I took my dog to Emergency care for head shaking and pain in his ear. The emergency room doctor couldn’t see anything and suggested I follow up with a vet the next day (Saturday). I saw Dr Horn and he told me my dog had ear infections in both ears one was inflamed so he gave me a steroid to give, he flushed both ears and put a long lasting antibiotic in. I was charged around $500 for this service. I was then told to bring him back in 7-10 days to recheck. (Normally rechecks are free, especially when you spend this kind of money) We came back and the inflammation had gone down so he was able to detect a Foreign object in my dog’s ear. He took him to the back and sure enough there was a foxtail which he removed. He was so excited and was saying this was their first Foxtail of the year! It was all very odd. They then charged me for the recheck of my dog’s ear, which should have been included, and should only be charged for treatment. I asked the first time about a Foxtail, as I was very concerned, but I was told he would be in a lot more pain if that were the case. We followed their instruction, so my dog suffered another eight days until we came back and Dr Horn was able to see down the ear canal further. I was sent home with Medicine to put in for seven days and to recheck if needed. I asked if there would be another charge for the recheck and they said yes. I questioned this and was told there should not be any more problems so if you come back, we will charge you again. I was charged another $500 for this visit This is very unprofessional, unethical and actually could be false as how do they know my dog’s ear will be fine after another seven days when they didn’t know the first time either?! I also took my second dog to check his ears when we went back, I was told he only had wax and to flush them and use ear wash. My Groomer told me today my dog’s ear was very red so I took him to my regular vet who confirmed he has an ear infection also. I was just at OC yesterday and was charged a lot of money and told my second dog did not have an ear infection. Very incompetent service, They are really all about money and seeing how much they can charge you. I wouldn’t recommend them.
Dr. Rodriguez and the entire nursing team are absolutely exceptional. From the moment we walked in with our teacup Yorkie, Richie, we felt genuine care, professionalism, and compassion. Dr. Rodriguez took the time to explain everything clearly, treated Richie with so much gentleness, and made sure we felt confident and informed every step of the way. The nurses went above and beyond — attentive, kind, and truly loving toward our little one. You can tell this team doesn’t just do their job — they care deeply about their patients. Richie received outstanding care, and we are incredibly grateful. If you’re looking for a veterinarian and staff you can fully trust with your pet, this is the place. Highly recommended! 🐾❤️
I love this practice! I had a pleasant start with the receptionists who are so happy and eager to help 😊 as I was a new client. I paid a deposit over the phone with ease and had my invoice emailed conveniently. OC Veterinary Medical Center was able to schedule my 1st visit within 48 hours! AMAZING! Almost unheard of anymore. My 1st visit was great experience. My check in was seamless the lobby was very clean well organized and had that air conditioner pumping! Go team 🤣🤣. Dr. Ardeshir has the most soft spoken and gentle bed side manner that is extremely hard to find now days. His approach his explanation wonderful ear gave me the confidence to hand over my little Luna Lovegood ❤️ to him and his team! Speaking of team-Eric you were fabulous 👌. Thank you for being so gentle with my Luna and thank you for getting me the stickers!! You're the man! ( I travel full-time in an RV and need these for my pet passport) THANK YOU TEAM P.S. Hey management maybe a pizza for your amazing team 😉 they absolutely deserve it!!
These people have been my veterinarians for years. However, I have just met them a couple months ago. Even then I didn't really meet them. My brother took me there for my kitty “baby” My mom took Sammy, my brother, for my doggy Jiggy. Jiggy has since passed on and it's very sad. But all I hear about from my brother is how they treated Jiggy. Sammy took me to see them for my cat but when we went he dealt with them. Sammy had me go on my own this time. I met them and they were so nice. It was great because I saw how nice they were to my kitty. They treat all animals with respect and a lot of love. I was late but they were cool about it and just told me other people were in line and asked me if I had time to wait. My bad, I was late, so I was willing to wait, and I said so. Even so, it was pretty damn fast getting them to see my kitty. I talked to one of the staff and they remembered Sammy, they all remember Sammy and Jiggy. They are great people. I highly recommend them to anybody who cares about their animals and cares about being respected and treated well. I look forward to seeing them again whenever my baby kitty needs help or just her usual shots. Thank you, OC Veterinary Medical Center!!! You guys are the best!!!! Love you, Robert
