Big Lick Tropical Grill

Big Lick is a great place to eat! They have a really good menu. The food is always delicious! Even though your order may come out quickly, it's always hot and fresh!

From the alligator, to the pasta, to the shrimp tacos, to jerk chicken everything was excellent. I was very surprised how how flavourful everything was with how reasonable the price was. Would definitely suggest. Our server was even new and did a great job.

Everything is always good all the time! Long time supporter of Big Lick and this time did not disappoint. Delicious Monte Cristo and loaded potato soup. Even had Lauryn Hill as my server and she was nice and fast! She handled a big party and tended to us and several others without skipping a beat. Had to share my support with Living in Lynchburg FB page.

The Fried Calamari was great. Probably my favorite thing. The Alligator Bites and fish bites were really good. The Coconut Shrimp was just okay. It didn't really taste like coconut shrimp to me. The Mac and Cheese was extremely basic and bland. We couldn't eat the hush puppies or chicken fingers from the 3 Items Tropical Grill Sampler Platter because they were really tough and overcooked. Just super dry insude. I'd give a 3.5 overal.

We were greeted promptly. The interior is a super fun beach theme. The space is ginormous. Our server took the experience down a few notches as it seemed like she was having a bad day. She only visited our table 3 times: to take our order, and then to deliver food twice. She then left without even saying that her shift ended while we were sitting there waiting for water and wanting to ask for additional items. We were the only customers in the establishment. 😐 The food was OK. We ordered the fish tacos, the pork chop, and the chicken fingers. There was nothing that I would come back for other than the lovely ray of sunshine who ended up being our server right as we paid our check. Trinity is amazing! If you go to Big Lick Tropical Grill, make sure you ask for her.
