This the worst designed dog park I have seen to date. The benches the humans are supposed to sit on are actually outside of the dog park which encourages handlers to put the dog in the fenced in area to let the dogs work it out by themselves which is exactly wrong and against what every dog trainer knows is the correct approach. Whomever designed and approved this should be fired. It’s clear that they did no research prior to designing a dog park. The handlers should be in the park monitoring their dog/s. This is truly ridiculous and idiotic.

This dog-friendly park is a popular spot for walkers and their furry companions. While there are usually balls available, bringing your own ensures your pup's playtime isn't interrupted. And a friendly reminder: light-colored shoes might not be the best choice here!

Peaceful and Beautiful Place to Relax! Independence Community Dog Park is a lovely spot to enjoy nature with your family and dog. We loved the peaceful atmosphere, well-kept grassy areas, and overall cleanliness. The kids’ playground is clean, safe, and fun for children of all ages. 📸 Great place for nature lovers to take beautiful photos — flowers, greenery, and even little wild animals! 🐾 Perfect for families, dog owners, and anyone looking to unwind. 💯 We’ll definitely come back again!

Great space, a good amount of shade for the dogs to stay cool, plenty of room to run. I'm so glad to have found this park

Loved taking my dogs here whenever I had the chance. The area is well maintained and there are usually other dogs for my dogs to play with. I’ve yet to encounter an owner with an aggressive dog or an owner that drops their dog off and leaves (it happens!) There aren’t holes in the ground but there are some dirt spots, especially near the water fountain. Make sure to bring a towel to wipe your dog off afterwards!
