Amazing! Called the clinic about getting my dog up to date on shots and teeth cleaning. They took the best care with him! They quoted me time and cost b4 doing anything and communicated with me the whole time.

I debated writing this review for 2 months. This is in no attempt to defame the business, but I would like to share my experience, as it resulted in the loss of my best friend and nearly $8000 in vet bills. I have never used Brentwood for vet services. However, I did use them to board my difficult dog when I had to go out of town. He was a healthy, 11-year old rottweiler mix named Jackson. They kept him separate from other dogs, as he was not dog-friendly at all, and he seemed to really enjoy the staff. I dropped him off on December 12th in anticipation of a 11 day long trip. All seemed well -- no phone updates on any incidents. I arrived back a day early and went to pick him up on December 22nd. When I got to the office, one of the staff members asked if his side typically felt "hard." I informed her that he did have some benign fatty tumors in his abdomen area. When she brought Jackson out, he was actively dying. His abdomen was grossly distended and rock hard. He was struggling to take steps and was breathing erratically. He did not greet me. When I attempted to load him into the car, he struggled immensely. He LOVED car rides and could jump up onto my 3 foot high bed with ease at home. I immediately informed the tech at the desk that something seemed off. She told me her vet was already gone for the day, but could see him at 10am the next morning. I told her that I was worried it was urgent, and would be taking him to the ER vet. I received a call from Brentwood en route to the vet informing me that they found a small amount of vomit in Jackson's kennel, but that nothing else out of the ordinary was noted. By the time I arrived to the ER vet, Jackson could not walk. They took him via stretcher. He had suffered GDV, which is essentially a condition where the dog's stomach is flipped or twisted, trapping gas and preventing digestion, It is an emergency and fatal if untreated. He had been in that condition long enough that he was becoming septic. They did an emergent needle decompression to and gave some analgesics to relieve some of the pain he was experiencing, and allowed me a few minutes with him. This was the first time he really interacted with me, which tells me he was in an incredible amount of pain. I was given the option to try a risky $7000 surgery to save him, or put him down. Because of his previous good health, I opted to have surgery. Jackson survived the surgery. However, as they were treating his suspected sepsis, and an abnormally low glucose (which they did not give me an explanation for), he suffered a seizure, went into ventricular fibrillation, and died. While I do not explicitly blame Brentwood for Jackson's bloat, it was extremely upsetting to find my dog in that condition after I had entrusted them with him. I specifically chose a vet to board him because I thought they would be better prepared for any medical issues that might have arisen during his stay. Additionally, there is no indication of how long he was in that state, and I agonize over how long he suffered before I came to pick him up. AND even worse still, if I had not come early to pick him up, he would have died alone in his kennel at the vet, as I received no phone call indicating his poor condition, and had to find it myself upon arrival. After Jackson's passing, Brentwood's office sent a card offering their condolences (to my ex-boyfriend's house -- but that is neither here nor there). I'm not sure how they found out about his death. I feel it would have been more appropriate for them to call to discuss what happened once they learned that my dog died immediately after leaving their care, but they did not reach out and I was frankly too angry at the time of the incident to have a reasonable conversation, so I never reached out to them either. I lost my best friend and suffered a severe financial burden as a result of my choice to board Jackson at this facility. I hope that, if nothing else, this is a reminder to check on their boarded animal's frequently, and ensure communication with owners if there are any concerns.

I jave nothing but good things to say about Brentwood. The doc and staff are so friendly and have so much compassion for animals. The prices are reasonable, it's so easy to schedule appointments and prescriptions are filled so quickly. Thank you everyone at Brentwood Animal Hospital

If you ever need a great Vet these are the people to come and see. They have been in my family for years. Me and my boys live them. They also love my boys. The staff is amazing and knows you and your animals. That means allot. Even though I just lost my son of 14 years . I will be going back when and if I decide to gwt another companion. Thanks allot to you and your staff for the years of service to my family!!!!

Brentwood Animal Hospital is a wonderful place to board our fur babies. When we're out of town. As always, Justine greets Rica Joy and Rayna Sunshine with a soft welcoming and sweet voice, allows them to relax before taking them to their rooms. The front desk clerks and staff are professional, friendly and courteous. Thank you for all you do.
