Westlake Animal Inn Pet Resort & Grooming

Took our 10 month old puppies for nail trims, and upon arriving home noticed that one of our puppies back nails were not trimmed at all !! They were long and needed to be trimmed and how they overlooked ALL of his nails on both back feet is beyond me. They barley took anything off his front feet. Very disheartening, wont be back. Also, staff is extremely unpleasant, nobody greets you with a smile, or a friendly hello, in fact we walked up to the front desk and 2 gals totally ignored us, when we said "hello" they proceeded to tell us this appointment was not booked, I had explicitly had them duplicate my communication upon making the appointment. Anyways, no one smiled, or even looked us in the eye from arrival to departure. 2 girls brought our dogs to.us and didn't even look at us, handed us the leashes in a very hurried manner and walked away. Super strange and unpleasant experience , wont EVER be back.

We are in town for a short stay, looking at moving to the area, and needed daycare and one night of boarding. We researched all available options and picked Westlake. And everything was great but one little surprise that I wish was communicated to us more clearly. FYI...when boarding overnight, be sure to pick your pet up before 3pm the next day. After 3pm, they charge for another night. Had we been told that, we would most definitely have arrived before 3pm to pick up our babies. But, it was not communicated in what we read in our research or from anyone at the desk at the time of check in. Needless to say, the total cost was therefore a little shocking when the young lady told me it was double what I was expecting. When I pointed at the literature on the counter that listed the charges and said the charges are per night, we only stayed one night. She simply repeated the after 3pm message and just stared at us. It left a bad taste for Westlake with us.

I am truly happy with Westlake! I had an absolutely awful experience elsewhere and was concerned about trying boarding again. Chloe, my cat, had a huge cage (at least 3 times the size of the other place), her own soft bed, and a loving, kind staff. I am so very pleased!

Not only do I enjoy the daycare. My dog, Janabelle, is crazy excited to be there. We go every day because I have a part time morning job. I’m not pressed to get out early or have to worry that I’m going to be late! She’s safe, loved and happy to be there! The staff treats her like family s as nd she certainly loves them all! Especially, Bella and the other members of the staff!! 💕💕

We had amazing experience boarding dog and Amazon Parrot. They both stayed 2 weeks over the holidays, our bird learned how to meow and bark. They both seemed well adjusted and they called me with any concerns. They both will be returning for three weeks at the end of the month.
