(from Google)Amazing amount and variety of playground equipment, inclusive of special-needs people. Beautifully shaded paved trails; even people with bad knees like me can manage. Trails take you by the Meramec River. Restrooms are on site.
This is an enjoyable, mostly shady walk on a paved path, with a couple of mulched pathways through the woods if you're feeling adventurous. It's a lovely, level, park-like environment with forest/woodland and some nice views of the Meramec River, which are probably better in the winter months with the leaves down. Tip: Park in the lot by the athletic fields. Backing out of a space in the W Watson Rd lot can be hazardous with traffic whizzing by.
I just decided to stop on a whim. The shaded wooded area just pulled me in on a hot August afternoon. I loved that it was an easy, mostly flat beginner trail, which I am. The paths are wide and paved. There are also mulched paths through the woods. There was deer grazing, and this park was going along the river. I'm sure there are all kinds of critters in the woods. The playground is AWSOME lots of things to do, including a zipline!! There are sand volleyball courts, soccer, baseball, and soccer fields. Including modern clean restrooms.
This park can be accessed on the walking trail from Minnie Ha Ha, and there is a parking lot for those driving. From the parking lot you mostly see the playgrounds and sports fields. The trails are closer to the river. It's a nice peaceful place to walk, with paved paths and some mulch ones also and lots of shade. You can get some views of the Meramec River while walking.
What an awesome outdoor place for the entire family. There is a volleyball court, golf range, baseball field, and kids playground. There also beautiful trail in the forest.
