(from Google)We can’t say enough about this veterinary clinic. We had an unexpected emergency with our little dog, Daisy. And due to the nature of the incident… her time here was cut short. Probably one of the hardest things we ever had to do. The vet was very compassionate. This incident happened during a time where we really couldn’t afford it so they worked with us. We just picked up her ashes today and it was the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen done to honor our little girl. They did a little paw print. And considering what they did, it wasn’t expensive it was very affordable. While, it was a very sad moment and it still hits us from time to time…The staff here genuinely made us feel like they cared and they didn’t rush us or the final procedure. They let us spend as much time as we could before they administered the medicine. They did it in her back leg too so that way my wife could still cuddle her as much as possible. We forever grateful for these people.
My experience was phenomenal compared to a different place where I usually take my pets. This is probably the 6th vets office I've used in Florida and this is by far the best place. The doctors and the other staff members were all kind, compassionate, understanding, and extremely helpful in so many ways that made things easier for me to manage a difficult situation. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who has cats or dogs.
Accident and VERC: So let me explain the entire event so I can again let this information be hear and why Scenic hills is a great place. My dog was hit by a car, back legs were non responsive and he was in pain, in shock but breathing. I took him to Veterinary Emergency Resource? Center (VERC)... $175 just to walk through the door with a very nice staff. Without one concern for pain, without an x-ray or any type of imaging or any further medical services other than a quick look I was presented with a bill of $3600+ to do all kinds of things that were unnecessary likely in any situation without any real scope of his total injuries and his likelihood of survival.. $3600 RIGHT NOW because I am emotional, vulnerable and I love my dog. I knew it was a scam or at very least shady businesses practices so I left immediately without further conversation. Scenic Hills 😊: I then took him to Scenic Hills Veterinary Clinic, shout out to their wonderful staff. My pup was taken in, they saw the tears in my eyes, my true concern for his well being, and asked for $1000 to treat and observe him for 24 hours so that we could come up with some kind of prognosis and hopefully a treatment plan. They gave him X-ray and some pain meds and unfortunately called me about 30 minutes later to come back clinic. Turbo's back was broken and his spinal cord was severed. He wouldnt be able to run, use the bathroom, or have any quality of life ever again. Sound logic and medical certainties were established and I made the decision to put him down. The staff there was very supportive, helped me out to my car with my baby ( I buried him at home), and refunded me about $750 of my $1000. In conclusion: No fluff or big long titles for nonsense procedures like VERC was trying to SELL me in a "used car" style tactic and spreadsheet. Just treatment and services in the best interest of me and my best friend. I hope you never have to go though this but I would highly suggest you visit the wonderful staff at Scenic Hills Veterinary Hospital for all of your pets' needs.
I am so grateful to have found Scenic Hills. They really do care about the animals. Their prices are affordable and they allow people to make payments when needed. In fact, they offered when they gave me the quote for my dog’s surgery. I went ahead and paid in full but was very surprised they offered. They’re taking great care of her post surgery. We’ve taken her back for a couple of post op visits and they don’t charge us anything. They’re wonderful! Nothing fancy. It’s all on paper. A bit old school but I love it! They make difficult lot situations just a little bit easier to deal with.
Oggie, our beloved 14yo yellow lab was dying due to kidney failure. This hospital took us in immediately, without an appointment and very compassionately, very professionally gave us the end of life care our dog deserved. They didn’t rush us in our goodbyes, neither before nor after he passed. The staff all were so kind. While it was a heartbreaking experience, they made it better. Thank you!
