(from Google)We got whatever their original basic chicken sandwich is and a loaded fry. The fries were phenomenal and lowkey more worth the price than the sandwich. They were very shareable and loaded up with meat. The sandwich was good. I think because it was very hot and very fresh it tasted better than it actually is. The cool think about this place is they have a sauce bar with all these super good sauces and you can just have as much as you like. I use so much ranch so not paying for extra sauce is needed for me to have a good time at a restaurant. It is expensive, but I say it was worth it. I am so mad the Crack Shack in my home town closed. They also have a gluten free breaded sandwich which is cool cuz a lot of chicken places just make you get the grilled if you are gluten free so that is cool. My gluten free friend said it was really good.
My first time here and very impressed and satisfied. The Cali Drip so delicious and full of flavor! Their sauces: yum! ~Especially their pineapple mustard, ranch and bbq! Fun spot with huge tvs and a full bar! Ok Costa Mesa!
This is easily top 3 if not THE best chicken sandwich in LA/OC. The fries were crispy and flavorful. Don’t hesitate. Just get in line.
Never been to a Crack Shack but was craving a Popeyes type crunchy chicken. Felt like this was the place to compete. First off, atmosphere was fire. Open, airy, almost like your outside but you’re not. Loved it. Doors were open adding to the outside backyard feel and the TVs were perfectly placed, enough to keep you eye if you wanted but without feeling like there were too many, as some places are. Got there a lil after 8, and it was immediately clear this place has fans. Even as it got closer to closing, the parking lot was full! And I saw another father son dui heading inside as we were leaving at 8:52! Steady energy. Service was strong. Our bartender Calvin, was friendly and attentive. Never had to search him out since he checked in often. Got two sandwiches, half bird, don pastor fries and the cole slaw between the three of us. Fried chicken had a great crunch and was juicy inside, though it was a little plain. So you have to add some sauce options which they give you in a basket. Ranch was clutch but the sriracha aioli was the home run. Great flavor, not too overpowering but still delicious. Hearty firebird sandwich brought onion + onion + chicken + sauce together in a great combo. Too big for me to finish with the fries though. Slaw had pickles and that just wasn’t my preference. Fries were alright, felt like again the chicken was plain but I get they keep it simple so you can sauce it up how you like because it was cooked to perfection. And with chicken, thats what it comes down to.
I really liked this restaurant! I ordered the Firebird and the taste accompanied with pickles was perfect. The sauces they had out were great, especially the BBQ. I am excited to come here five or six more times to try different items on the menu because this was such an incredible restaurant!
