It seemed smaller than I thought it would be so at first we were not sure if it was a "scale" replica, but it is. Very cool. Everything is in proper placement for solstices and equinoxes. Much easier and cheaper than a trip overseas. Free and available 24 hours.

This was so cool. So much thought and deliberation went into this replica down to making sure it was aligned for the solstices in this area. And there were several plaques around pricing education on the meaning of it, the history of the original Stonehenge, and the process of building this one.

This is an awesome place to stop on any road trip, especially if you’ve never had the chance to see the real Stonehenge in the UK! They did a great job recreating it (at a smaller scale, of course) but it’s still amazing to see up close, and you’re allowed to walk through the pillars here, whereas in the UK you can’t get anywhere near the actual Stonehenge pillars. We were on a road trip and when I heard about this place, I knew we had to swing by and experience it for ourselves. It was only about 15 minutes out of the car, but when you’re driving across the massive emptiness of West Texas, every cool stop is worth the chance to stretch your legs. Check it out if you’re driving through!

Stopped by while in town! Loved it! Very interesting and a great experience for being in West Texas.

Cool little spot to check out on the UT Permian Basin campus. Spent 5-10 mins walking around the replica. It’s impressive how intentionally they matched it down to the stone across the street that casts the shadow on the solstice.
