Alison is truly exceptional. She is incredibly knowledgeable, detail-oriented, and brings such thoughtful insights to every session. Her communication is clear, timely, and encouraging—you always know why something works, not just what to do. Beyond her expertise, Alison is genuinely personable and a joy to work with. She has an amazing ability to read dogs and humans alike, tailoring her approach with patience and precision. Watching her work feels like witnessing a true dog whisperer in action. We’ve seen meaningful progress and gained so much confidence thanks to her guidance. If you’re looking for a trainer who combines deep expertise with warmth, intuition, and results, Alison is simply the best.

I hired Alison because I was struggling with all kinds of issues with my dog. Alison is incredibly knowledgeable and patient. She not only worked with my dog, but also taught me how to better communicate with my dog. Her training is tailored to your needs and with each session she leaves you notes, which are very helpful. I highly recommend Alison of Progressive Paws.

A Miracle Worker for Our Beloved Pups! Whoever said you can’t teach an old dog new tricks clearly hasn’t met Alison! After our 10-year-old pup experienced a traumatic house fire, he was left with severe anxiety and reactivity issues. We were feeling hopeless, but then we found Alison, and the results have been nothing short of miraculous. Alison employs a positive reinforcement approach, always prioritizing the well-being of the dogs in her care. Her gentle yet effective methods have transformed our anxious pup into a calmer, more confident companion. It’s been an absolute joy to witness his progress as he learns to navigate the world around him with newfound ease. We also have a younger pup who has benefited tremendously from Alison’s training. Her consistent guidance has instilled a sense of control and discipline that has made a world of difference for both of our dogs. If you're looking for a dog trainer who truly understands and cares for dogs, look no further than Alison. She is a true miracle worker, and we are incredibly grateful for everything she has done for our furry family members. Thank you, Alison!

Allison at Progress 4 Paws is the real deal when it comes to dog training, she has been able to successfully train our beagles which I originally thought was impossible. We are primarily training our 2 year old female beagle; from basic manners, to more advanced safety commands like "wait", to tricks like "shake" and "spin". She's even accomplished to teach our senior beagles to sit and stay, which proves you can teach an old dog new tricks. Allison is very positive, warm, and friendly, she will be very gentle and patient with your dog until they get it. While this is training for your dog, it's also training for the owner, making sure we feel comfortable and knowledgeable on carrying out commands with our dogs. Allison is even gentle on us humans, when we may be hard on ourselves. Allison understands and recognizes each dog breed is different and will train specifically to your dog's breed. She knows beagles are more food driven than anything else, where another dog might live for toys, balls, or praise. She comes to our home to make the dog feel comfortable and it makes it easier on us to learn, because there are less distractions in our own home. She gives us the knowledge and tools we need to practice outside our home and when she is not there. Our 2yo beagle knows, sit, down, stay, spin, and wait after three sessions. I would highly recommend Allison at Progress 4 Paws.

I am so thankful that I found Alison & Progress 4 Paws! When I took on my foster pup, Mama, she had a few quirks! Upon, our first meeting, Alison made both Mama & I at ease and quickly assessed a plan for her! She started off with building blocks to create the foundation to success! Mama likes other dogs but has what is called, leash reactivity! After 4 weeks, there has been an incredible improvement! She is so much more happy and being her best self! I have been in the rescue/shelter dog business for nearly 8 years and by far, Alison is one of the best I have met! I wholeheartedly recommend her for any behavioral issues your pup might have or just looking for them to put their best paw first! Plus, she trained me too!🤣
