(from Google)The location is apparently a spot for mule deer breeding etc. States that horses and everything are okay, but when you arrive it says no dogs or biking aloud.
We thought it would be a quiet and peaceful hike, however, we came across a herd of elk that turned the hike in an adventure. Always avoiding disturbing them. Always being careful avoiding disturbing them.
Perfect if you want a less busy hike as bikes are not allowed. Watch for rattle snakes
Roxborough was full, so my boys and I took a walk here. It’s pretty in a prairie sense, but also exposed to the elements and no water to speak of.
A peaceful walk. The only thing I didn't like was we were not able to bring our dog. There is a nice sized parking area and a port-a-potty. The covered pavilion is welcoming and clean and great place for a meeting . The walk is not difficult and would be nice for someone coming from a lower elevation state.
